You have a point. 3DS is now reaching its prime and the Wii U is just starting. Though a big advantage of the Wii U is that its backwards compatible. That is the main reason i see to buy one (granted you didnt own a Wii like myself).

With that said, im pretty sure Nintendo has some bombs ready to drop soon.

Their marketing is good, but the advertisement and the way they handle game annoucements is leaving something to be desired. People plan their console purchases for the years to come, not for the next 6 months. Keeping to this time constraint in new game announcements is what stops some of the hype from coming to the Wii U.

nintendo really need to focus on the WiiU right now, 3DS won over vita already. they need to start thinking about WiiU or Sony and MS will kick there asses. a 2.5 zelda might be great for 3DS but WiiU should be the priorety, atleast now

What I meant was decrease the competition that might occur between the 3D zeldas by making the next 3DS zelda 2.5D instead of 3D. It indirectly helps the WiiU because the people that really want the 3D zelda turn to the WiiU for it.

I 3DS zelda is rumored to release in 2nd half of 2013 if 3D zelda is rumored to release in 2014, there might not be enough space between the Two. Look at OOT3D and SS release dates. I personally know 2 people that didn't get SS but have OOT3D. They might have chosen to go for the cheaper 3D zelda. (That Wii motion+)

If they wanted the core crowd with ZombiU, they needed to have maybe a few exclusives instead of A dozen old ports. Those ports were only for Nintendo only gamers who had not played them. They should have been spread out over the year, while true exclusives were launched with the system. Even just a few would have been much better.


Which is why I think that Legends, Bayonetta 2 and Lego City might do better than people expect them to. Like not million numbers but still a lot better than people believe them to do.

I don't exactly agree. But...
These consoles can (and will) coincide after awhile, for the time being though that won't happen, of course. The 3DS has a much bigger library and has been established in the market for at least 1 or so years than the Wii U. That means a bigger following too and more push for sales since Nintendo has seen what 3DS is capable of.

Once the Wii U gets some Blockbuster games it should start to rise in sales and, depending on the amount of blockbuster the game is, rise above the 3DS sales sometimes.

ohh i get what your trying to say now and i agree. and yeah if those dates are true then the 3DS zelda game can hurt the WiiU one

DS and Wii flourished side by sid like Steak and Lobster on the same plate. Wii U just pales in comparison right now. Bone in Ribeye with one bay shrimp. Nintendo Direct we need you. Iwata needs to get his suit back from the dry cleaners and scratch our itch through the boots again.

DS and Wii both had entirely different concepts. 3DS and WiiU are kinda similar. Both have a gyroscope, dual screens, touch control.

DS was revoluntionary touch screen gaming, Wii was motion gaming. They kinda converged this gen.
