Except I always wanted a Nintendo console when I was a kid.

I owned the GameCube, GameBoy Color, GameBoy SP, and the DS Lite. (Then I got a Wii on launch day... which was a nightmare!)

True story:  My dad while Christmas shopping at Best Buy in 1995 was talked into getting a Sega Saturn by an employee who was looking to unload them, and I didn't get an N64 until 1998.  Literally the only games my brother and I could play between '95-'98 were Virtua Fighter and Panzer Dragoon.  It was horrible.  We also for whatever reason skipped Super Nintendo and we went straight from NES to N64.  To this day I swear I have no idea why.

I feel bad for you because that would have really sucked. I hate it when any Electronics Employee tried to talk me into something I don't even want.

Yeah my dad didn't have a chance.  All he heard was "it's the next big thing, get it while you can" and he was convinced.  Old people...

I had a gameboy, my cosins had a lot of gameboy games like two selves of gameboy games. It was fun. My father brougth me a PS1 when I was a kid. Got Tekken, Duke Nekhem and a racing game. So yeah I grew up as a cool kid.

Cause, Sonic.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

My dad bought us a PS1 in 1995 when I was 5. While playing Ocarina of time & Mario Kart 64 at friends houses was fun, it wasn't until 2007* that I had any desire to own a Nintendo console. PS1 & PS2 had served pretty much every game need I had perfectly up until that point.

(*In 2007 my local Gamestation had an offer of 1x Gamecube, 1x controller, 1x memory card and 3x pre-owned games for £30. It was a ridiculously good deal, so I took it. All 3 of the games were developed by Nintendo, and 2/3 of them were fantastic. So I guess I became a fan on that day. I did wonder what I'd missed for the last 12 years, but it doesn't bother me too much :P)

The average consumer can be pretty stupid.
