Indeed. That logic is really annoying.

The point is completely valid. MS launched a garbage system that broke a third of the time, but all the first year problems didn't really affect it long term. The head start did help it gain market share, however, that has helped it to this day. Nintendo probably should have launched with delux only, sold a few less but streamlined the manufacturing process and made more money per unit. Then get agressive when their real competition for the next 5 years is launched in the fall.

The Wii U is in the 8th generation, just like the Nextbox and PS4 will be. Graphics aren't everything. If a console was released that was 100 times as powerful as the PS3, would it be in the 12th generation? No, it would still be in the 8th.

Nevertheless, although the premise for said post has some grounds, it's illogical to compare against something which isn't even released; even if they will end up eventual competitors.

You can't reason with Nintendo fans, they don't even play real games and they only talk about sales as if it makes their console better. You can try to argue with Pezus, but he just wouldn't get it because of what he is.
