I was reading the 3DS Million-Sellers Thread and I was struck by a thought: Why not release Xenoblade on the 3DS?!
As of right now it's sold 840k - and 390k of that is from NA alone, and 220k from EU. Considering it was released 2012 in NA and 2011 in EU on a dying Wii it's done pretty well for itself. There's clearly a market for these kind of games yet.
And as Spazzy_D said in that same thread: "Perfect game for the 3DS. So many MMO style side quests and grinding...... just a perfect game to play in a time wasting sort of way, but also a deep experience for when you want to buckle down and really play for a while."
Who else would love to see this game on the 3DS? Or would it be a mistake to port the game to a portable device?

I think a 3DS game would be alright; though personally I'd rather see the sequel on the Wii U.
Also, your figures are somewhat (drastically) incorrect. The game has sold 838k, whhich breaks down as 359k in US, 216k in EU and 159k from Japan.
It's pretty likely to hit the million mark when you consider the decline in Europe was only 50% YoY. A similar hold next year and in America and it will sail past the mil barrier.

Bet with Tbone51- He wins if the 3DS sells over 20million in 2013, I win if it falls short

I don't think the 3DS could run this game without having the scale back the graphics a bit, the environments are pretty freaking vast.
I'd rather have a Wii U version on the eShop that runs in 1080p native. Sell it for $39.99, Nintendo, it's just a license to print money.

xenoblade is a bit much, maybe an origins game, side story or sequel would be cool. although i really want a new IP for 3ds from monolith and Xenoblade to continue on Wii U. imagine how grand the game could be

Isn't Xenoblade like 8GB, it's a little too big for a 3DS game.

Xenoblade HD Edition, The Last Story HD Edition, and Bayonetta: Climax Edition for $29.99-$39.99.
Do it, Nintendo. Fill some of those holes in that drought.

As cool as I could see that being, I'd rather just see more new IPs out of Monolith Soft at this point.
That, and for anyone who remembers the series, another Baten Kaitos game would be kind of nice. Just saying.

Might be too large for the typical 3DS cartridge. :/ I'd rather have Monolith move on to the next thing - attempting to top Xenoblade,
