What I'm saying is that most people will not pend $500+ on a gaming console. Keep in mind this a gaming site so it's obvious we are all fans of video games and will probably spend a lot of cash on games, but most people wont.

I will if it has the right games at launch.
If this true, wth will it cost? These specs are better than most gaming PCs right now. No way they can even build it for under 700€.

PS360 had better specs than most gaming pcs when they launched, it won't be different this time, I believe with some kind of contract model, thsese consoles will be more affordable, like they do to $600+ smartphones.

Yeah but you are a gamer, gamers spend a lot of money on video games. But the casual crowd or even the Call of Duty crowd will not spend that much cash on a new console. They will stick to the previous ones until the price is a lot cheaper.

I'm sure you will be able to connect an external HDD like the Wii U, so you shouldn't worry about it. |
You don't know Microsoft very well then.
@Lostplanet
You could still delete some of these games and download them again when you truly want to play them.
640GB is good enough for starters. Expect them to get bigger later into the gen.
I aint no techie, but those specs seem overly powerful for a console amiright?
This thing sounds pretty beastly. Probably a combination of an initial loss with a contract model as well as various SKU's (one without HDD etc...). They might also introduce a subsidy from cable providers, like signing up with Verizon Fios will grant you a discount on the console.
