Why are you talking about Yakuza?

Because the OP thinks that if a game sells above 100k in Japan it means it will sell a million, And i proved him wrong.

it's pretty obvious

I don't see anywhere where OP said that. Not only that, but the game selling out was pretty much the big deal here.

Great post, 11/10 for application of logic.

Tousouchuu: Shijou Saikyou no Hunter-Tachi Kara Nigekire! debuted at just shy of 30.000 units sold and is now at ~350.000 units. I guess now I counter-proved you wrong. But I don't think that this is how it works.
Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Yeah, but Yakuza has mainly been a PS3 game that most of its popularity comes from Japan. Outside of Final Fantasy, Japan hasn't had a 1 million seller for the PS3 this generation. They have different standards for success with the shrinking of the Japanese gaming market and the apparent exodus toward Handheld focus with the DS/PSP and now 3DS/PDV/Smartphones getting all the focus.
Given its content, it is unlikely to see a release outside of Japan, although some brave 3rd party may try in Europe depending on how Animal Crossing: New Leaf performs.

Japenes games well MOST of them seem to have very stong first week numbers and they drop 100% 2nd week.
