All the 360 fans on this site is almost all accounted for in this thread. And still they are out numbered by Sony fans in this thread without the big names jumping in yet.

Well people that think it can't outsell GT5 are irational its already at 7 million units and could easily be over 8 million in a couple more weeks its the prime candidate for next years holiday bundle which will add over 2 million units of sales and by the time it will make it into the bundle it will already be around the 9 million units mark. 

That was a limited edition console I would be surprised if that even accounted for 100k of Halo 4 sales.

Way to get off topic and start talking about Forza. It's well known that Forza isn't going to sell as much as a Gran Turismo game. 

yeah, no it's not lol  Subtract around 1.5 million and their you go.  If you want to use shipped subtract 800k.  We don't know Halo 4's shipped numbers but it is likely around 8-9m it's self.

How is their a Halo killer when the games still sales extremely well? Price cut and temporary holiday disscount are two different things. Right now as far as I can tell most retailers have put halo 4 back at $60 and on another note most retailers did similar temporary price drops on pretty much every game that came out this year, so don't try to spin and make it seem like Halo was the only game that got discounted during the holidays. 

Didn't even see this comment.  Just pointing out that other racers do in fact sell well.  Not saying it is more successful.  Need for Speed has dropped off a bit bt their is plenty of racers that do have success still is my point.

What a pointless thread. While Halo games always sell great for awhile eventually they come to a stop unlike the GT series which sells and sells. It's also a really big deal that the 360 has so few exclusives so it's no surprise that Halo and Gears sell so much because it's slim pickings. While on PS3 there is an absurd amount of exclusives. If the PS3 only had a few exclusives released in the past few years like xbox I would bet you money that GT5 would be far ahead of Halo 4, that's not the situation though.

Either way, both games have sold amazingly well and both well reach 10M and maybe more. Despite the 360 having so few exclusives which maximize sells at the same time where there is so many FPS games and Halo has to compete with the top dog in Call of Duty, it's remarkable that Halo 4 has cemented it's position as the 3rd biggest shooter franchise behind COD and Battlefield. On the other side of the fence, while GT5 has MANY exclusives to compete with on PS3, it has virtually no other racing series that even comes close to challenging it.

That's being unbiased. Try it sometime.

Why is everybody saying halo is front loaded and not a long legged title? Sure halo has great openings, but it has legs as well. Halo games dont stop selling people!
