I was looking at some great 360 bundles and it got me thinking about all the exclusive games but mainly Gears and Halo that I missed out on during this generation.

Over the last several years I opted to go with PC/PS3 as well as the Sony portables and I have recently purchased a new gaming rig. However I recognise that some games that I want to play are only available on Microsoft's console.

So with that in mind at this stage I am planning to purchase both the PS4 and 720 when they launch and while I won't be paying for Live I can't resist the temptation anymore and I would like to play some 360 games on the 720 along with their new exclusive 720 games.

I was an owner of the original X-BOX so I guess I do have a bit of an affinity to Microsoft and I love Windows 7.

My only concern is that Microsoft isn't making enough of an effort into establishing new exclusive IP's but I am hopeful that they will remedy this next gen.

So anyone else in a similar situation??

I own an xbox360, however it is too early to tell since all we know about the nextbox is rumours. Rumoured SPECS are nice but obviously the thing will need to work lol.

Also with xbox I will wait a year so the can fix and RROD issues it will have in a redesign.

No one can honestly answer your question until we know more about the new xbox. I doubt anyone who isn't even interested enough to buy a 360 will say fuck it I'm definitely buying the next one before we know anything about launch games and price.

That said I have no problem buying a nextbox if microsoft steps up their game and gives us a variety of exclusives like they did early on this gen. I don't currently have an xbox, though I used to.

Seeing as how nobody knows anything about the NeXbox don't you think this is waaaaay too early to make a thread like this?

Given most of this forum seems to be Sony fans... I'm expecting an overwhelming "No."

That's something to consider. Hopefuly now that they are not rushing their console out they will avoid the hardware issues they experienced with the 360.

One thing I forgot to mention is backwards compatability. This is important because I want to play a few 360 games that I missed out on including all the gears and Halo games. This is a reason why I am avoiding the purchase of a 360 at the moment.

It doesn't even have a name yet.

At this rate I'll be sticking with PS3 until 2015, maybe I'll be caught up on games by then.

You may be right. I guess I just wanted a bit of feedback from the community here. And my thought process regarding the Nextbox is that while I know that  its hardware specs are only rumoured at this stage it's their exclusive franchises which are drawing me in.

I am for sure. Really eager to see what they offer
