Welcome to PS3-dom. I hope you enjoy your stay!

Regarding the list you posted above, I think you listed pretty much all the good exclusives really! Only ones I could possibly add is WipEout HD Fury (highly recommended), a Motorstorm game (Apocalypse is my favourite) and Twisted Metal (good if you can pick it up for a bargain price).

There's a load of stuff you can pick up from PSN as well, like Papo & Yo, Unfinished Swan etc. Super Stardust HD & Fat Princess come highly recommended personally.

I'm interested in Twisted Metal. Used to play the classic games on PS1 with an old friend of mine back in the 90s.

Motorstorm has some of my attention, but I think it'd be going down towards the bottom of the list.

I'm interested in Unfinished Swan - noticed it came up a lot in the GamrReview GotY nominations - and Super Stardust HD is fun! I forgot I also have that through my friend's free PSN debacle games, and I like it! It's like a cross between Geometry Wars and Asteroids.

Worthy mention is FIFA 13.

Congrats on your PS3 purchase! :D

You certainly seem happy with it and you've already got some great games, I''d like to recommend playing Infamous and LBP before your other games though (they're the best ;))

inFAMOUS and Katamari Forever were my #1 biggest reasons for getting a PS3. I've been wanting those two for YEARS.

Initially, those + LBP2 were the only exclusives that I really wanted. I've clearly expanded greatly from there since - mostly because I wanted to get my money's worth out of the system, haha - but yeah. Those are still my favourites on it, hands down.

That was a good read. Also, thank you for not putting "unbiased" in the title. Everything sounds about right. Most of the differences between systems are pretty minor with the games themselves being the most important features. The only part where the PS3 suffers noticeably, in my opinion, is that downloading and installing stuff is more intrusive than it needs to be, just as you said. Still, that's why I have everything download at night and let the system turn itself off, and PS+ is godly for auto-downloading patches and backing up your saves while you sleep. I love turning my PS3 on and seeing that PS+ has taken care of everything already.

Oh, and if the triggers and thumb-sticks bother you, there are cheap attachments. I love the trigger extenders and you can get analog stick extenders with different tops.

Oh, absolutely. There's nothing unbiased about this review. I went into getting the system with an open mind (I mean, you have to when you throw down $300 on one!), but after so many years with my 360, and a good deal of time with my WiiU as well, I've come to have a lot of expectations coming into this. For the most part, I'm satisfied, like I said. But yeah, installing is way too intrusive and downloading isn't intuitive enough.

I wish there was a PS+ Lite, where I could have access to all the features PS+ has without access to the games. I really like having access to the minor features that it offers - I'd totally pay $2/month for that!

PS+ Lite would be awesome, but it's probably a situation like Xbox Gold where they need something to hold people hostage with so they'll buy the service.  At least the auto-updates and cloud saving isn't absolutely necessary, even if it's extremely convenient.

As far as recommendations, get Valkyria Chronicles, one of the best games of this generation.

lol i don't get that either... reviews are inherently biased as they are opinions

calling a review unbiased is an oxymoron if i ever saw one lol

anyway ot i hope you enjoy your new console

Great review! I'm well overdue myself on purchasing a PS3.

P.S.: I would just like to point out that installs work the same way on the 360. They can't be done in the background but fortunately they're optional.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Good, unbiased, objective review

Have fun with your new system :)

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I'd recommend getting Metal Gear solid 4, ICO/Shadow Colossus, I'd say Fat Princess but I doubt many people play that game anymore. I really liked ModNation Racers myself. Killzone is pretty good as well.
