I think that Famitsu tracks download cards for Animal Crossing, however the download cardsdoes not make up 100% of the digital sales. 

As for NSMB2, I don't think that they track the download cards, maybe it's because they did not do it at first, since they should then need to readjust the data for NSMB2. It would just take more time.

Famitsu is tracking download cards afaik, Media Create doesn't. Neither are tracking direct eShop purchases (how could they?).

Everything poor excpet 3DS. Every game below NSMB2 is doomed, because NSMB2 itself is a failure of a game that is doomed.

Those animal crossing sales are insane and nothing needs saying about the 3ds sales..

Great psp and ps3 sales too. Vita deserves far better.

Wow, excellent sales for the 3ds. It's really in beast mode! AC had a huge increase as well. These sales are from Dec. 17-23.

PSP having great sales as well, although last year it topped 100k this week. PS3 is also down quite a bit, as it was in the 71k-75k range last year, even with the special edition PS3 released this past week for Fist of the Northstar 2.

Vita is just terrible...Down massively from last year, 71k-81k range. It's probably the biggest holiday week for Japan and the vita slinks by with 20k...

The Vita just isn't desirable at all. I have my DS and my 3DS and I was looking at Hardware. I could've bought a Vita, but I ended up buying a new PSP. It just has so much more to offer over the Vita. It was an easy choice.

Where are they dumping all these copies of Animal Crossing ?! Another 400k and it blazed passed Mario. Both of them. Simply amazing.

3DS awesome numbers.
WiiU, PS3 and PSP pretty decent.
PSV basically at a standstill considering it's the holidays.

Those animal crossing numbers are quite amazing, but pokemon is way ahead, and it's on a dead platform! and it's in the charts still!

That's just amazing

This WiiU hold is irritating. But it doesn't matter since ALL the third party games (even Monster Hunter) have drowned below the top 30. Once every Nintendo fan has bought a WiiU, it shall fall into the abyss eventually.

PS3 does quite well for an old-timer, not to mention PSP. But the Japanese's rejection of the PSVita is almost supernatural.

Animal crossing should drop off next week, seeing as the holiday season will be over by then :)

Uh, that's not all too amazing for two obvious reasons:

1. It's Pokémon. Higher sales than Animal Crossing are to be expected.

2. The game is perfectly playable on the 3DS.
