you cant compare 2D to 3D, but anyways, Echoes is the better game, Prime was the revolution

Fluid, immersive, and standard-setting controls, more efficient navigation and less tedious backtracking, drop-dead gorgeous worlds to explore, and high production values across the board.

Prime 1 is gloriuos.
Super metroid is a bit overrated.
Prime 3 started off really good, with a lot of action and all, but then the game turns into a puzzle fest, even the bosses are puzzle based.
I really liked the GBA ones.

while I still consider super metroid better than prime 3, I agree with your description. Prime 3 is a flawless game.

 I still remember when I first landed in Skytown... The music, the atmosphere, the amazing landscape... Gorgeous and awesome game...

I just bought Metroid 2, the return of Samus from the Eshop. No one ever talks about this game, I wonder if it's any good?

I still haven't finished Super Metroid, so Metroid Prime.

I also really like Prime 2 which just felt more intimidating from the outset and hence more satisfying in progression. From virtual panic at the start of the game every time you are in the dark, to master of your domain by the end of the game.

Metroid Prime 3 has the best controls but was a little more linear than I might have liked.

Other M was enjoyable but it didn't really need to be a Metroid game.

For me it is Metroid Prime> Metroid Prime 3> Metroid Other M> Metroid Fusion> Metroid Prime 2

I know that by all means Prime 2 should be better than Prime 1, since it has a bigger overworld, more content, better puzzles etc. but the dark ether pissed me off. I hate the constant life drainage and the Ing as enemies in particular. Also I really liked Tallon IV with its ecosystems, so the monotony of ether really didn´t improve things for me.

Out of curiousity did you finish Prime 2?

Yes, I did finish Prime 2. Unlike all the other games on my list I did´t play it again though. I really can see why most people would put it above MP1, it just did´t manage to enjoy me like the other games did^^

Other M deserves more respect, maybe the exploration wasn't so deep, but the feeling , of samus being a badass in combat ( except when she was talking) is great i think people pay to much attention to the story and forget what matters alll the ass kicking samus comits:P
