They have been staffing up a bit, so they may have a new team by now.

Retro is working on a project "everyone wants us to do". What do we want? I want a new IP. But I think it's most likely F-Zero, Starfox or Metroid.

Well, last I heard they were developing game engines for WiiU that were set to make people believers in the next-gen capabilities of the console:

 

"Apparently Retro showed off their Wii U magic to Epic Games and got them to reconsider bringing Unreal Engine 4 to the system."

I'm getting more and more hyped for whatever Retro is going to show us!! I'm so hyped I'll be disappointed whetever they show us actually :D

I would guess they have a team working on Donkey Kong Country Returns 2, and a team working on a new Star Fox game.

As much as I'd like some closure after the ending of Corruption, I think the Metroid Prime series has run its course. Retro could very well be working on a new first-person Metroid game (the Game Pad would work perfectly), but I hope that such a game would be set at a different period in the mythology.

I would also love a new IP from Retro, but I think they're dedicated to refreshing dusty franchises...at least for the time being.

In any event, whatever they make will most definitely be worth playing.
