The Last of Us looks beast so this doesn't have that much of a negative affect on me.

Reading this I thought "where were these thoughts when Jak 2 was being developed?"
I will say I admire Naughty Dog for trying different stuff, even if I do not always find it agreeable.

Could've been a lot worse... they could have brought back "Way of the Warrior".
They made the right choice tbh.
Uncharted is my all time favourite games and I'm hoping I love TLOU too. I never liked Jak.
Also the highest selling Jak and dexter game wasn't even made by ND and is the dexter spin off on PSP. Sony should get a studio to make dexter 2 for Vita

Well that sucks.
They dropped J&D for another overly animated game? I would rather have had Jaks than Last Of Us. I dont like this current direction ND are taking with their animations. Its not scripted but its also not great gameplay. Its like Heavy Rain in every game they make. Unresponsive gameplay tat you have to wait for animations to finish before you can give your character his or her next move.
Jaks we loved you. RIP.

I like J&D but The Last of Us will show far better how much powerful the PS3 is compared to other consoles and how much better Sony is in general.
Who would allow someone this late in the Gen to create a new risky IP when it is a decission between > Old known IP that will sell a few million units or a complete new concept where you don't know how the people will react.
Sony is great - They gave them the support.You can see that at a lot of Games this Gen made for the PS3.
Others would have said > NO!COPY+PASTE NOOOOOOOW!NO NEW IDEAS IN THIS GEN!
