So, 360 owners are looking to update sooner?
This bodes well for Sony. PS3 fans are satisfied with their system and future games coming so they aren't looking for a successor yet.
(S-S-S-Spin.)
Nvm says here that japanese use yahoo more than google

as a mater of fact, i'm shocked your not on my friends list! i didn't make any excuses, just points of observation. i'm sure you don't think whatever percentage of people searched xbox720, or PS4 did it once or twice right? which means as you've said, we can take this with a grain of salt. if i were to make an excuse. it wouldn't be in favor of either console. i've always considered you one of vgc'z best, although i may not agree with you all the time. |
I was probably reading you wrong or something so I'll apologize. it's just how I saw it.
And yes most likely multiple searches went into both of them. I'll take this trend more serious when both gets announced but even then i think predicting the future for these will be hard because they change yearly unlike other pieces of tech on the market.
And thanks. Probably a lot of people disagree with me, I tend to be controversial on how I approach things at times :P

Sorry, didnt realize it didn't have a link. I just put one in at the bottom.
binary solo said: There may be some correlation between which is leading in search and which will sell the most. However it would be very hard to say that a big lead in search will mean a crushing defeat. Also, this might be predictive of the first year or 2 of sales , but long term through the generation I don;t think this has much predictive value. Also HDDVD vs. Blu-ray was as do or die thing. There was only going to be one man standing at the end. And search predictions are probably better at predicting a winner take all scenario than a market share scenario. |
However consoles have tended to be winner take all scenarios. Console generations have generally ended with large majorities to the winners. Had for instance the Wii been able to cater to the entire market then it would have likely snowballed to >70% market share. If you don't have the same console as your friends you can't play with them, so in effect your enjoyment of multiplayer is predicted partially on the decisions of other people and the availability of content likewise.
Tease.
