but were any of those thread/petitions really do anything? other than just rile up the fanbase(the only petition that  worked was the "Operation Rainfall") as I said in another thread in which you also quoted me is that games like GTA have probably been in development for years, to through the Wii U in the mix with no solid proof other than a couple hundred or thousands of signatures is a bit of a stretch. if Wii U woners are expecting alot of games to come to their system that have already been scheduled for the PS3 and 360, prepare to be dissapointed...

Not sure if they work but they definitely make companies aware people are interested. I expect gta v to get on there because rockstar is the developer you need if you are trying this tactic. They are the face of 'mature' games. So if they aren't persuaded by words you get your cheque book out and ask how many 0s they want to appear and what number between 1 and 9 that they want at the front.

Nintendo have a greater say in this then people seem to realize. That is why I am surprised people think it won't happen. Especially after all that has gone down this generation. My guess is they will put the resources to a pc and wii u version when these are released.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

yeah, if Rockstar backs the Wii U that will lead to other companies to follow suit, the only thing that is troubling for the Wii U is getting that 3rd party support after the wii basically blocked all 3rd-party support for an entire gen.

I like the Wii U and want as much third-party support as possible, but petitions? Really? Compared to actually buying good third-party games, this is not very effective.

There are some games I don't buy, but that I believe should be on the console. Other people would like it and it would make the console a better buy for me if it is more popular (more games to choose from, more people to play with).

It makes sense in the real world. On the net, much less because people don't think with the big picture in mind, just with the idea that everyone's just a greedy fanboy (I think).

Realistically, I think everyone should take a chill pill. I doubt we'll know for sure how third-party support will shake out until the end of 2013 at the soonest. Also, I think some people have extremely unrealistic expectations about the porting process. :P

I wonder how many of these petitions and how many signatures it will take for these third parties to wake the hell up and throw Nintendo gamers a bone.. My guess is several :/

with 52 supporters... this may be counter productive.

Ok, but in your original post you mentioned petitions as not being effective. Above and beyond the obvious (that petitions are very wishful), what about asking for a game rather than buying it doesn't make sense (or does it, I'm not sure from your post). Also, some people don't have that kind of voting power (to vote with 60$). Companies have an interest in taking the gamble because an IP like GTA will do well on the U regardless. I mean, if it did well on the DS...

Done!

In circumstances like this the fans really need to speak up if they want third-party titles!

Just a sad state of affairs when consumers have to reach out for developer support.. Should be the other way around.

Now I know how a petition asking for the US government to build a death star by 2016 can get 27 755 signatures...

Too many crazy people around...

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I don't think it's going to make a difference.

Zombi U and BLOPS2 on the Wii U racking up massive sales would help, because it would make publishers see there's a demographic for that style of game (even if they are different genres) on a Nintendo console.

But otherwise no, I don't see Rockstar changing anything, it's hard to most devs to get two versions + a PC build done in time to make their launch windows.

......Is this the fate of WiiU users? They have to make a petition every time they want a game. o.O

Like I said in the Dark Souls thread, if they were really so interested in these games they should have bought a Ps3 and/or 360 already.
