Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii U is #2 on TIME's Top Gadgets of 2012

Well that's pretty dandy.

Five of the other devices I had never heard about, and doubtlessly so will many people feel when they see Wii U on the list.

It's been flying below the radar of the public, but Nintendo will probably call attention to it by the time Wii Fit U and Wii Sports U are announced.

Surprised the iPhone 5 was number 1. Considering its about the same thing as the 4s which was about the same thing as the 4 which was the same thing as... You can get the rest. Apple has not made much of any progress in their phones since the 1st iphone. They always just release something for the sake of releasing something and people seem to just eat it up... Quite sad really as there are much better alternatives to every single one of their products.

I guess you haven't even touched or played with an iphone if you think that..

iphone 3gs was a major up from iphone / 3g and iphone 4 was a major overhaul for iphone as well

iphone 5 was a pretty big improvement too.. just not as big as the first two

Actually ive owned just about every model of the iphone... I get them for free from work. So please dont lecture me. Infact i have an Iphone 5 64 GB that i got almost on Launch Day. The first iphone was revolutionary. But thats it. Every single iphone has always lacked features that all the other smart phones at their time had. THe original lacked 3g functionality, the 4 and 4s lacked 4g... ETC ETC. Apple has ALWAYS been overpriced, Late to the game, and underpowered. THe only reason they sell so well is the fact that they are the "must have products" the products that all the Cool kids have. No company in the world has more diehard fanboys than Apple. They will buy everything and anything that carries the apple insignia.

Personally I have used mos and Hate just about all of apples overpriced POS. The one thing I will give them is their good build quality.

I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!

iphone 5 is #1?

List has been comprosmised.
WiiU deserves to be up there though, I think. I can't wait to get one. I've never been so excited for a console since the gamecube. Hope that isn't a bad omen :D

I'm no Nintendo-fanboy, just a fan, but come on. How in the hell can the Iphone 5 be ranked ahead of the WiiU. What did the WiiU bring that's new to the table that Nintendo hadn't done before?Let's see: a gamepad with a screen that allows you to change the way menus are used, online community, HD visuals, harddrive storage, and increased third-party support.

What did the IPhone 5 bring that's new to the table that apple hadn't done before? Let's see: larger screen, faster procces--no it already updated the processors. Um, that's it.

Let's reward for innovation, not sales.

iPhone 5 and Wii U taking the top two spots? Wow what a lame list.

There is literally nothing innovative with the iPhone 5. It's just the 4S with a taller screen and more horsepower. And the Wii U really isn't innovative either, okay tablet controller...that's cool, but what else is new? It's less innovative than the original Wii. No wonder it's selling less in America than the PS3 and 360 (yeah price is a factor too, but I would expect a brand new console to sell better than it's last gen counterparts, especially at Christmas).

Well second place is always better than third

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Read this and then tell me if WiiU is doing as bad as you think.

No Vita, iPhone 5 top choice, compact camera makes the top 3... this list is seriously flawed

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Sony at third place, as usual. LOLZ

(sorry someone had to make this terrible joke). -_-

WiiU deserves to be #1 and iphone 5 off the list, but unfortunately the consumers will surely disagree
