This is all so confusing lol as we still dont really know whobthe burnt man is as a far as I know.  And I thought we pretty much knew Big Boss story.  Its kinda strange theyre adding all this new stuff into his story out of no where

Maybe they wil tie it in somehow. Big Boss was always my favourite character.

Possibility #1 - This has all evidence pointing towards a sequel to Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake that released in the late 80's.

Possibility #2 - Does anyone remember MGS1 for PS1 and MGS2: Sons of Liberty for PS2? Because there is a character in those that has the same DNA (a clone just like the other Snakes) named Liquid. Liquid is missing an arm. My guess is Liquid is being recruited by the antogonist. But then who would the gamer play as?

If this is another MGS title then this definitely confirms PS4 for Q3-Q4 launch in 2013 and this game would be in the launch window. Seriously, there is a reason no system was announced because the system this game is releasing on hasn't been announced yet.

Yes, you are correct. Also there is a slogan from the original Ground Zeroes trailer where at the end it sais, "From FOX, two phantoms were born". This new trailer is called 'Phantom Pain'. Does this mean that the antagonist will actually be The Pain.

There are WAY too many coincidences for this not to be tied to Metal Gear in some way or Next Gen.

I'm definitely hyped for this. Kojima sure knows how to feed the hype train.

I doubt that The Pain will even be in this game.

I read some more theories and a lot of people are theorizing this is Big Boss in the hospital when they take his DNA to create the Snake clones.  Possibly the plot will revolve around Big Boss trying to kill Zero for screwing him.  Either way it appears timeline wise this right ariund the time Solid Snake and the rest are being "born"
