Gears 3 seems to be selling very little these days. While Uncharted 3 is of course putting amazing numbers (albeit due to bundles mainly). It should pass it soon, maybe even by the end of the year. It's only 500k units behind. If it keeps doing these 100k+ weeks, then it'll pass it by the end of the year. If not, then it'll pass it by early 2013 at the latest.
Smart business move by Sony to get the Uncharted fanbase as large as possible, especially as we transition to next generation. Thre's going to be a lot of Uncharted owners/fans in 2013. An Uncharted 4 at the PS4 launch would attract a lot of gamers.

I lost a bet to superchunk. He correctly predicted that PS4 will release within 2013. I should have known that superchunk was an excellent predictor, I was foolish to bet against him.

Probably gonna bundle its way by.
Although Gears should/could get a boost from the release of Judgment.

uncharted was selling A LOT before bundling, it sold well over a million units this year before the bundles even started. uncharted was gonna pass with out without the bundles, the bundles will just make the inevitable happen quicker

Indeed it was. But I'd make the guess that the current sales are due to bundles (over 50% of the sales).

What PS3 bundles are out in the wild now? I assume the Black Friday bundle is pretty much gone, so is it back to being the AC3 and UC3 versions as the principle bundles?
A quick look at Amazon makes it seem so, at least for the time being, although I did notice this bundle: "250GB PS3 System, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, the Ratchet and Clank Collection, Media/Blue-Ray Disc Remote Control and $20 AIV Credit". Anyone know if that's new?
Regardless, as long as UC3 is in one of Sony's primary packages, I can't help but think it will overtake Gears 3 pretty quickly.
