yes, turkish's 5 million sales predictions is ludacris if you ask me, for example uncharted 3 just this week broke that milestone. but i dont see how this is a MAJOR flop. in a week were discounted games and discounted systems dominate sales, i dont see how a new 60$ game well sell very well. 130 is pretty good for a new game like all stars, legs will define its sales, but in no way is it a major flop, or even a flop actually. its just ok sales


I don't know all the people's predictions but Turkish is pretty unrealiable lol  Congrats to Uncharted 3 by the way, great game :D  And no I dont think it is a major flop, but a flop for sure.

He's saying it's a major flop relative to their expectations.  Most people on VGC didn't expect this game to sell well, but some people made ridiculous predictions and this is why this thread exists.  Flop threads (marked with "we need to talk about it") have become a VGChartz staple.  Just role with it (and understand the context).  It can also be considered a flop based on how it's source material performed.

every game will have its ridiculous predictors. As you know, nearly everyone predicted Halo 4 to sell more than it did first week. Doesn't mean its a flop. On the other hand, most people predicted lifetime sales for PABR at around 1-2m, which it should do.

 I said from the beginning (wello at least after the beta)  that this game will not sell more than a million unless it gets bundled and I still believe that.  It may pull of 700k-900k without a bundle but I dont see it doing better than that.  Now the next game, if they really improve it then it could do much better.  What I'd like to know though, and if someone has the information tell me, how much does this game need to sell to profit?  That is what is important.

No i think it's a flop because it is not that good of a game and it will not be recieved well and how much it sells will show a lot of this.  You won't hear me say games like ModNation is a flop because i think it's a good game and it profited.  This game is not, but I still do hope it profits for future installments and  i wish the best to the developers

I believe it was Dead Space Extraction by Dirtyp2002?  I could be wrong...

So because you *think* its not a good game (many people disagree), and you *think* it won't be received well, and you *think* it'll have weak legs, that gives you the right to call it a flop now? Okay.

Demon's Souls sold 38K first week and went on to do 1.6 million, Valkyria Chronicles did 78K first week and sold over a million. It's barely first week numbers we have America and the UK (A place that sells similar to America) and sales are already about 130K+.

This is clearly a stealth troll thread as usual so this needs to be locked, if sales continue to fail revive it in a months time, that's fine, but as for now this thread means nothing and is purely here to troll users. No game can be judged after half a first weeks sales, at least give the game a chance to sell.
