I don't get that people don't get the tablet controller. Tablets are the way of the future. The future is now on the wii u.

Posted from my wii u tablet.

Now back to the definitive version of blops 2.

What features make it the definitive version of blops 2 for you?

8th gen,the real battle of the loyalists

vgc isn't dead yet

If anything, VGC is on its way back to the glory days

All we need to do is attract some new quality posters

When sony and ms reveal their new consoles it will make for some great debates on VGC

The less powerful the hardware, the less expensive and the more developer friendly it is. I will only buy the least gimmicky 8th gen console first if it is marginally more powerful, otherwise I would have a more difficult decision.

Not necessarily. The architecture and software tools rather than the power of the hardware makes a big difference to how developer friendly it is. It's also dependent on the other consoles power for multiplats. A low powered console is harder to ports games and more annoying for developers.

If PS4 uses X86 CPU, a new GPGPU and a lot of RAM for instance, it'll be a lot easier for developers to make games for then PS3 with the difficult to program Cell, locked shader architecture of the GPU and limited RAM.

I think it all depends on how powerful next gen consoles will be, but there is no doubt (excluding dellusional Sony fan bo.... Loyalists) that PS4 and Sony is between a rock and a hard place - and those would be WiiU and x3ox. WiiU will be the weakest, but considering sonys weak finances the PS4 can't afford to be too expansive. This will result in PS4 being similar to WiiU in power, but slightly stronger. The x3ox on the other hand could be that beast of a console everyone is expecting. Why? MS's got the money. But this would also mean that 3rd party developers won't utilize x3ox full power since they're gonna port those games over from WiiStation.

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

sony...nothing but Europe.  Europe isn't going to save Sony.

believe Xbox did good damage to the ps3  and will next gen that too.

sports can easily be taken over by Xbox with some time dlc.

Vita will be the story of ps4 but the ps4 will sell more by a nice number but gone are the days of 100 million or even 70 million probably.

ps4 sounds like a boring console compared to next box and wii-u. It's going to on par of Xbox or weaker anyway so what it's trying to do is irrevalant.

btw next gen games will be made for Xbox not Ps4 ;)

1. Europe is nearly as big as the American market so at the very least, if one of the console manufacturers can hold onto that market, they'll likely stay afloat.

2. The previous gen is no indicator of how next gen will turn out. If that were the case PS3 would have sold like the Wii. Consumers are a fickle bunch.

3. Sports games will need more marketing and sponserships then timed DLC. Most sports fans won't look into timed DLC that hard, they just want to play.

4. The handheld market and home console market are two very different things and not comparable. Handhelds have been attacked by mobiles and tablets. We've yet to see a similar thing happen in the home console space (could happen with SMART TVs, but I doubt it)

5. We know nothing about the next gen Xbox or PS4 other than rumours, none of which really point to why you'd think the Xbox is going to be more exciting than PS4.

6. If those rumours are to be believed, there will be very little difference between the two consoles and both may even use X86 processors and AMD GPUs meaning it won't really matter if games are made for Xbox or PS4, the ports will be easier to create than they were this gen.

I think a lot of people are underestimating the costs of the tablet controller and how that money can be put back into the consoles silicon.

Without the money needed for the unconventional controller, Sony can put a bit more investment into the RAM, CPU or GPU whilst still keeping the costs down.

I dont understand why people do not focus on point 6.  For all intestive puropses, the PS3 was a pain to port this generation and it still received a lions share of third party games that sold decently.  If anything, the porting between the two will be most likly seemless and the main difference will be in their input types.  If anything the Wii U will be the new PS3 in terms of coding if both the xbox 360 and PS3 near mirror each other and are more powerful than the Wii U.

Funnily enough this is the only place on the internet which seems to note that point. If anything proves this point it is how much sony has fallen from grace. Psp, ps3 and vita have all been outsold by the competition. Psp go was a commercial failure. They have really been hit hard this generation. Hopefully they improve on ps4. Sony have the most to gain there.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

that's good to hear,it does seem fairly busy but then we have new consoles and teh holidays,i'm pretty sure when/if the others release it will bring out plenty of crazy posters

on topic i do think the sony PSN is a pretty good service i get some crazy good deals for lots of things of course they are in the financial dump so it might not survive but still the service shouldn't be ignored as a feature,i'm not sure how popular it would be but i hope they can merge some of their SOE stuff for the next generation,i'd love to play some of those/new games from  the console like FFXIV

Now back to the definitive version of blops 2.

What features make it the definitive version of blops 2 for you?

Options, man!  Options!

-You can play the entire game without a TV by just using the Pad:  "Oh, but the Pad is so small!", you say.  True but you hold it closer to your face and the picture is crystal clear.  I jumped on it last night while my kid played Castle Crashers on the 360.  I killed 4 people in a matter of seconds (a big deal, for me) and had a positive Kill/Death ratio.  Never felt unnatural!

-Motion Controls:  People that have played Killzone 3 with a PS Move controller (like me!) can testify- in the hands of a pro, motion controls almost feels like cheating.  It's just point and kill.  Haven't tried it, yet but I will.  Hope it works as well as it did in KZ3!

-Classic fans can use the Pro Controller:  Set it up fro classic controls and it's just like old times.  After about thirty minutes of getting used to it, I was good to go!

-No Nuketown/Stats about how many kills CoD Players have built up/News updates or any of that other stuff that 360 COD fans get:  Wait....forget I said that!

-Nobody uses a Mic.  No whiny babies and 12 year olds like on Xbox Live!  So what if your partner doesn't tell you there are three guys camping in that room?  You're a grown man.  You don't need somebody holding your hand!

-Highest resolution of the home consoles at 60 FPS!

-Free online!!

-Quick customization using the touch screen--it's more helpful than you think!

-No Achievements/Trophies mean one less reason to play the campaign mode that you don't give a damn about!

-We're having a Street Fighter rematch on the 3DS, dammit.  Nobody has EVER beaten me that badly!
