Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Stop complaining and enjoy the Wii u

Every launch system is like this. I don't remember any console launch where everyone was happy with it, just relax and enjoy your Wii U....that reminds me I don't have one T.T

I swear there is a weird smell the gamepad makes. It is either the gamepad,my apartment, or me.

Smells like what?..pizza?

Not sure I turned it on and sniffing it right now.  Smells like plastic but I believe the plastic odor becomes stronger when it heats up.  I think the smell that was bothering me was my woman's hair.

On a side note the buttons (yxba) rattle when you shake the controller.  Even putting your hand over the buttons slightly can have it make noise.  Same thing happens when you put your finger on buttons of the GCN, Classic Controller, and a few other controllers that I tested.  They just don't make the noise as much when shaking.

Oh my, I never thought I'd see that avatar again. Is Kwaad and ckmlb coming back with you?

I know you're enjoying the WiiU, but bro, take bathroom breaks, take a shower... no wonder the place stinks. When's the last time you changed your underwear?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

OP misses a key point:. Those who are complaining can't play the Wii U because they don't own it and mostly has no intention of owning one.

I think there is far more love than the minor issues being brought up. I've read no real complaints, just things people have noticed and odd choices Nintendo has made that do have the capability to be changed via patch. So, if we don't like something we should scream about it so Nintendo patches it and makes it right.

And yes there were plenty of negative comments at every console launch. You're just being forgetful.

People People People why are we complaining about the nintendo Wii U. Just enjoy the console and what it is. Yes the system is not perfect and there are flows in it but come on guys. Just enjoy the consol and be happy with it. All I see on the nintendo section is

I see a problem with the WiiU and 3DS

Why the Wii U might be set up for failure

When the PS360 came out people did not complain about the system this much. Yes it had its problems too like the wii U has, but people just said it is new so give it a break. It seems since this is the all mighty Nintendo we can bash them for trying to do something different like they did with the Wii. The market is changing to more tablet and cell phone based games. So the Wii u idea comes at a good time. So I ask that we all stop bitching, stop posting negative reviews and just enjoy the system.

Indeed enjoy guys!

i would guess based on your description the smell is plasticizer.  it's used in most any plastic processing and should generally go away after a week or so.  that "new car smell" many people like is plasticizer.  it would make sense the smell increases as it heats up.

oh, btw.  plasticizer is cancerous.  the amounts we are exposed to with new products is generally too low concentration to matter ... but you probably should avoid putting your nose right into it.

Lots of people complained about the 360 and ps3 too. No good games? Red Ring of Death? $600!?? No rumble? Every launch is rough, but also fun to be a part of. I think most that have the U are having a blast figuring it out. I can't wait to pick up my (delayed) pre-order this week.
