Maybe this will encourage them to bring over Pandora's Tower or Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly (both Wii) or even better, EarthSeeker (but that's really a faint hope)

So successful that they're dropping the price this soon after release?
I wanted Ys to be the successful title(s).
How much does it cost to develop a game this? If a game like Batman Arkham City would sell 500k units it would an disaster.
I still have to get this game and Xenoblade =[
also can someone tell me how Wii games look on Wii U ?

The game almost certainly underperformed, but this quote comes from XSEED, the publisher in North America only. They had nothing to do with the development, and are only publishing it because the company that did pay for the development costs, Nintendo, passed on publishing it in America.
Good maybe we will see an adjustment in the sales section this time around. MosDef undertracked in the America's then!!! Now hopefully we will get a localization for Pandora's Tower LE, since the Wii U is backward compatible and many PRF supporters will buy these games.

Hey, they can afford to, Nintendo aided in the costs of publication and their Europe branch did most of the translation. XSEED just finished up the leg work Nintendo didn't want to do for this one since they put out Xenoblade.
hmm..guys 500k at 50$ each is 25m $, i would be surprised if this game had cost them more than 5m

They don't make 50$ per unit LOL
Money from a 50$ game goes to retailers and transports and publishers and developers and console manufacturers and etc.
I'd say only about 20$ goes to Mistwalker (or Nintendo depending on what was the deal). So that makes roughly a little less than $10 million. The game was in development for at least a couple of years and so I really don't think they made that much money with the game. But considering it was financed by Nintendo who cares LOL
But for a publisher like XSEED who simply bought rights to publish it in NA surely made a good amount of money out of the deal.
