Those games get to much praise EVERYWHERE.

I'm pretty sure that developers do not try to develop games for PC pushing them to the limits because it would cost huge amounts of money for an audience that's very small. That's why I believe that PC games do not usually look much better than console gaming. However, it is that reason as well that draws me more to consoles than PC.

Also, consoles have more freedom of creativity than PCs, which is why I wonder why people have such fangasms over the 360/PS3 (graphics) but discredit the Wii U (as a whole) that really is a deviant to the PC.

why are pc gamers on a mainly console focused site complaining about those ever fruitless console graphics wars on a console focused site anyway?

Personally I'm pretty damn happy and satisfied with what my Xbox 360 is still capable of... a generation ago it was ludicrous to expect a console to continue getting such massive software support 6-7 years into its lifecycle, and it was even crazier to think that the visuals in games could improve so drastically within the same generation of hardware (compare the launch lineup of 360 games to today's PS360 titles and you'll see what I'm talking about).

I don't think I've ever gotten as much mileage out of any piece of gaming hardware as I have with my 360. Still getting great looking (and playing) games like Halo 4, the upcoming Bioshock Infinite, Metro Last Light, GTAV, etc. If I were to try to run any of those on my now 8 year old PC for example it would probably have a stroke.

I play consoles just as much as I do PC.  Just bought a WIIU actually.  I like to see how well each console sells although I don't really care who wins like many people on this site.  A lot of threads give useful information too.  Some of the community is really cool too

That's a really strange opinion to have on these arguments.

There's a reason that there are arguments and constant rivalries between, for example, Subaru and Mitsubishi owners over which car is the best performing, fastest etc despite the existence of McLarens, Bugattis, F1 cars...

Subaru and Mitsubishi put out fairly similar machines targeting a fairly similar demographic. At around the same pricepoints, their models are fairly comparable in areas that auto enthusiasts care about, with pros and cons in all these areas for both cars.

It's the same story with the PS3 and 360, and why it is so fascinating and fun to compare them at every opportunity. It doesn't matter that there are machines out there that are obviously superior in those aspects in which the two companies compete, it's about the comparison between those company's similar products, at a similar price point by fans who, although on opposite sides of an allegiance, are actually quite like-minded.

It is quite often worth talking about console graphics simply because I am constantly amazed at how much developers can squeeze out of hardware that old. People aren't necessarily amazed because the consoles "are powerful", but instead many are just impressed that the level of graphics we're seeing are even possible on the PS3 or Xbox 360.

all graphics wars are lame, because they amount to no real benefit. The difference between blops ps3/360 and wii u means nothing
