Shadow Hearts 2 is one of my favorite games ever... and I don't really miss the series, because it was finished, great ending etc. Series don't need to have endless sequals.

Well said.

I don't mind a SH1&2 HD collection tho.......one can dream.

Shadow Hearts was so freaking awesome... I think lack of interest killed it which is a damn shame!

Also, give us TURN-BASED games!!! Jeezzz, how many terrible half-ass action systems are gonna be used before the good old simple turn-based gets a shot again at conquering the gaming world.

My game doesn't have to be shiny as hell, it doesn't have to cost 10 million dollar to produce, as long as it is worth it in gameplay and story!!!

Don't the sales from ps1 classics from the store tell developers anything?

There you have it. Are you man enough to play it?

ehm... i'm asking for turn-based Jrpg's don't you think bringing my manhood to the table is a little overabundant?

Damn you for making me explain it

It was quite a twisted line. It may look like a game for girls with all that over the top cuteness and pinkness (so it could be read if you are capable of enduring that), but the truth is that the game does have its share of fanservice (so this thing is for pervy males and then it does have a "different" meaning).

It was a reference to Guile's classic "Are you man enough to fight with me?" line in Street Fighter II too.

Thanks for explaining but i do hope you understand that my comment was self-mockery at its best (or worst..).

The PS1/PS2 era was the best era for RPGs, guess creative fatigue killed them all this generation! (l0l)

Mana - Dawn of Mana/Heroes of Mana sold so poor (along with the Children of Mana, etc), frozen IP.
Breath of Fire - BoF3 flopped obviously cause of Capcom's incompetence and because of that the IP is frozen , they had the chance to give it to Camelot who offered but decided not to.
Shadow Hearts - Unknown
Suikoden - Didnt the development team completely disband?
Wild Arms - PSP killed the series l0l

I don't think BoF3 really had much to do with the series being frozen as the game was the most commercially successful in the series, and it was followed by BoF4 and BoF5, along with several spinoffs. Breath of Fire 4 is also both the next most commercially successful in the series, and also by far the best game in the series.

The reason that the series is on hold is because one of Capcom's old leaders, Keiji Inafuna, decided that Capcom should kill the main series so the resources could be used on other projects. Now that he's finally out of the way, maybe Capcom will do another.

I agree with people who say that turn-based RPGs are what we want. I am tired of these games that sell out the genre making it more actiony.

Luckily more true console-style RPGs still thrive on handheld.

I fell in love with RPGs back in late 80s with Dungeon Master, and than shortly after that with Might&Magic series (both on Amiga, additional M&M later on PC). I was not big fan of RPGs before that (though I tried several on C64), but those 2 changed my view of that genre back in the day. Both franchises are dead unfortunately, and though recent Legend of Grimrock nicely revives style of Dungeon Master and similar games, so I can't say I miss it terribly, I'm particularly sad about Might&Magic - M&M VI and VII are one of my all time favourite games, so I'm always hopeful that Ubisoft (as current owner of franchise) will reactivate it at some point, if nothing else than to try and take some of the Elder Scrolls market with it.

I hope so, I will buy it no matter what system it is on! lol. Day 1 if possible even for 59.99 XD

It's been too long without a Star Ocean or Valkyrie Profile. Oh damn those are SquareEnix franchises, the Japanese company that doesn't make Japanese games (facepalms)
