Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Which Wii U games are going to bomb?

I think Tank Tank Tank, will surely bomb. The game should not have been a retail title, but that is Namco's call. I also believe that most EA games will bomb, very hard.
I really hope that Warner Bros continues to put out their games on Wii U, at the moment their support has been decent, with games like Batman, Scriblenauts and Injustice.

Mass Effect 3 will probably bomb hard. Then EA will go "hurrdurr our gaemz don't sell on Niitendo conzole, we outa here". And I will be like

and pick up ME3 for Wii U in 6 months from the bargain bin.

I am sure they will. "Lets release a game that no Nintendo gamer will understand because they have not played the other ones, make it no different than the HD systems, and call it a day!" Hopefully it pushes a million so we can laugh in their faces!

This makes no sense at all, the only ones who will laugh is EA...all the way to the bank "man i cant believe 1mil people bought that lazy ass port we didnt even develop in house, im on a boat!" thats what they will say.

ME3 will flop bad! Batman won't do too well as well. AC3 and CoD might just leg out. Maybe do half a mil each by the end of their run (CoD might scrape a mil).

I think only time will tell on whether or not a game flops. I wouldn't pay $60 to play almost ANY game, but I will pay $20-$30, so after many months/year(s) when the prices drop on some of the games, sales may increase. Have to see the legs and possible price drops that may occur.

Yeah, Mass Effect 3 is going to be blasted into smithereens. There are quite a few interesting launch games for the Wii U and ME3 just don't have any chance to succeed. Not that EA ever gave it any chance...

lol who decided to release a trilogy when the final installment is coming out in a few weeks on a new console

I think a better title for this thread should be "which WiiU titles will be successful and which ones won't", because that's the attitude I'm going to bring to my answer here:

Successful:
Mario U, NintendoLand, ZombiU, Assassin's Creed 3 (it's among the top ordered titles), Call of Duty II, Scribblenauts Umlimited, Just Dance 4, EM2, Rabbids Land

Modestly successful:
NG 3, Sonic, Tekken 2, SING Party, ESPN, Darksiders II, Batman (depends),

Unsuccessful:
Mass Effect 3 (probably, unless EA has low expectations for it), Tank Tank Tank

Now that's what I call a late port ;P

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Employee at GameStop said we were the only customers to pre-order this Wii U launch title. No online play, but it seems promising. We could use some arcade tank blasting fun!

Seeing how they were the only ones to pre-order this game, I am kind of thinking this one will not do too well.

ESPN may not do too well either.

What games do you think will bomb?

The price on this game needs to be $39.99 as there's not a lot to the game.  My son and I played the arcade version at Disney Quest and it's a blast for local mutiplayer...If I can get it with a discount or coupon for $40 or less, I'll be picking it up.

Stop hating and start playing.

Every third party game except for Just Dance. Mass Effect 3 and Zombie U will especially bomb hard, probably even to the point that both EA and Ubisoft will pull the plug on the Wii U altogether (except for the inevitable Just Dance 5, 6, 7, ...39). Call of Duty might do ok-ish.
