Forums - Nintendo Discussion - First Wii U reviews- NSMBU 87 Metacritic, NintendoLand 78

Having finished NSMB2 and seeing the scores it got, I can safely say NSMBU is going to be the best game of all time with those scores :D

Imo, the game was incredible. Finished, but going to play it a lot more.

Im just hoping I can Snag a Wii U by the end of next week. Please God.

Not bad reviews, (by the way, didn't we have a thread for WiiU game reviews?)

Oh, and

Mario-http://www.destructoid.com/review-new-super-mario-bros-u-238434.phtml

"New Super Mario Bros. U is a great little platformer that kicks off the Wii U launch with a bang. Players know exactly what they're getting with this one -- an entertaining and incomplex bit of gaming that provides challenge and smirks in equal measure. While certainly a "safe" game to launch with, it is by no means unremarkable and the only people who would fail to have fun are those with a fundamental aversion to Mario or platformers in general. Literally everybody else would find it incredibly difficult to dislike this one ... even if some of those latter stages will make them temporarily despise it.

Because nobody likes lava levels. Nobody. "

I do like lava levels. The ones I don't like are the ice ones.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

I'm thinking 75-80 for NintendoLand and 85-90 for NSMBU. Which would be just fine for both of them.

Love and tolerate.

Lava levels are great! They separate the men from the boys.

Sounds reasonable. I wanna know ZombiU and Scribblenauts as well as some of the ports, but that's Sunday. Today is Nintendo Day!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Good. I had Nintendo Land at 78 in the metascore prediction league, so this looks promising. My 82 prediction for New Super Mario Bros. U seems like a huge mistake though D:

Can't wait for the ZombieU reviews to roll in.

I think ZombiU will be received quite well actually...

I loved Ars Technica's final line for their very positive NSMB U review

Verdict: Buy It, but don't necessarily buy a Wii U just for it

Yeah that pretty much sums it up. A great review but it really isn't worth buying a whole system for a single game.

And the review scores have just dipped slightly. I expect about 80 for NintendoLand and around 90 for Mario when all is said and done. I think that seems likely.

Bayonetta 2 had me at hello though!
