"According to one daily newspaper in the UK"

I call bullshit

Wait a few more hours for official word from Activision then. Do you expect less?

I'm not sure. What did MW3 sell in its first 24 hours? I think it'll be less than that.

Anyway, UK newspapers are the biggest bullshitters on earth, so I'd take this with a massive pinch of salt

In Norther America and Uk MW3 sold 6.5 Million copies on launch day. Prob more if you take in account the rest of the world. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/activision-call-duty-modern-warfare-260607

Edit: Found another article. MW3 sold 9.3 Million on launch day. http://www.lensoftruth.com/modern-warfare-3-sells-nearly-10-million-copies-day-one-biggest-industry-launch-ever/

Oh, well then 8m seems reasonable (1.3m less than MW3)

Doubt it would drop off that much.

Funny how when you thought the numbers were too high you were saying this was fake, but once you think the numbers are low, "it seems resonable".

Why do you even bother with him? Hese just mad that his precious recent Xbox game will only be in the spotlight for a week.

Moderated,

I will never understand people who buy this game every year. That's enough.

Pure gameplay. Super fun and value for money. You know like most other high selling games.

I thought it was because we were mindless drones who only care about gray color schemes. :-/

I hate that this game sells so well when people complain and rage about t every year. Then reading people commenting about it on facebook who doesn't even play games just to get a little attention annoys me even more.

It's a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy. Some of those people who complain about the series have bought incarnations in the past and will not buy again. Others, however, will complain and then buy the game to see if they did anything different. I tend to refer to this as buying 'Bitch Fuel'. They purchase the game, play it and more or less complain the entire time. In essence, they purchase so they can have the credibility to complain. It's like all of those 'anti-witchcraft' old ladies who bought Harry Potter books to judge how evil they were, thus filling the author's pockets with cash.

Couple that with the people who don't care and buy it because they want to play the multiplayer and that's that. Huge sales every time.

I am thinking of picking this up. Would be my first CoD purchase since the first Modern Warfare.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

8 Million.

4.5 on 360
3.2 on PS3
0.3 on PC

Give or take 10%... Thats my guess for day 1

What's your prediction for Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified sales for PS-Vita? What about Call of Duty Black Ops 2 for Wii U? Could it be a million seller on any of those newer systems?

I am really surprised that the PC number is so low... is that because Steam/Digital sales are not counted?

This will probably be the first CoD I buy. I imagine its the same for a few others.

Haha I hear this is a horrible game
