Nintendo managed to lose my full support (I loved the GameCube) with the abomination that I find is the Wii, so they have shit to rectify.

Sony is same as always, own their console, play it, but it just never manages to be my favourite.

I saw a list of 75 new IP's from Nintendo since 2000, so they are in fact making new games. But yeah, there's been a whole lot of milking going on this gen, and it's probably only gonna get worse if what Epic says is true that dev costs for games is going to double next gen...

Let´s see...as far as 3rd parties are concerned: this generation has cemented that SquareEnix is dead to me (only good thing they´ve done, imo, is to publish Sleeping Dogs), Capcom has fallen hard, I remain indifferent to Namco, Tecmo (and more specifically, Team Ninja) has also fallen...overall, I´d say that in my book, Japanese 3rd parties have fallen quite a bit this generation.The only ones I like nowadays are Platinum, From Software (because of Demons/Dark Souls) and a bit of Konami (only because of Metal Gear).

That brings me to this point: this 7th generation is the first where most of the games I enjoy are from Western devs, in past generations my library of games was made up of 90% of titles from Japanese devs, and the 10% left was Western, this time it´s almost the other way around.

Bethesda (despite the bugs) with the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, Bioware with the Mass Effect series (despite the ending debacle), Naughty Dog with Uncharted, Epic with Gears of War, Halo, Dead Space, Bioshock, Batman Arkham games, etc..are all games I´ve come to really like this gen.

for me its always been sony and nintendo. same again next gen.

Well, ps1 SquareSoft, ps2 SquareSoft/Enix, you'd expect a shitload of great games for Ps3... not so much sadly.

I will be playing xbox360 in the near future for their Jrpg's, probably take on the wii as well since i don't see me buying the Ps4 in the next 5 years or so.

Nintendo will always have my heart and always be my true favourite but this past year I've played little else other than PS3 after I was introduced to it by my other half. My only regret is that I didn't own the system sooner
