its obvious NSMB slaugthers LBP in terms of popularity/money generated/appeal/gameplay, its funny how Sony fans came rushing here claiming LBP is a better game when its clearly not, atleast have something to back your statements up other than your own bias opinion. Also, all those sales are generated pretty much at full price while a big chunk of LBP sales were generated at bargain bin prices.

I don't know why people brought Little big planet in this discussion, yes Super Mario Brothers is better as a platformer, but then Rayman origins is better than both of these so who cares.

lool i didnt give opionions i gave facts. you on the other hand just put in sales numbers and claimed that quality = sales when its not. as for the money, i dont give one shit to who gets more money, it would be pathatic if i did. all i care about is the game and its quality, and LBP is far superior

How can anyone compare LBP with a game like SMB3? It's something totally insane, because LBP has not nearly the same quality, is a franchise much younger, and infinitely less sold. Just because Sony copy the games and gives upgraded features and modernized does not mean they are better.

I give more value to my own experince than to buch of numbers posted by biased reviwers and bribed editors.

The reason why LBP sucks it's clear, a terrible control response, the lack of any learning curve, the lack of any challange at all, the only supposed good thing of LBP is the editor, which is not. It takes like 10hours to create a decent level and it's not simple at all, while it takes just 3-4 hours to create a Mario level using editors amde by amateurs on the internet.


i guess having 500 lifes in a game proves to be really challanging!! and yes the editor sucks, those 7 million levels created by fans are just worthless obviously, i mean if the editor sucks then how can they make so many good levels?

well because the OP asked why dont sony make a game similar to super mario brothers and the answer is easy because they have a better 2D platforming game called littlebigplanet, so thats why they dont need to. littlebigplanet is the answer to the ops question

It may be a better 2D game but i don't think its a better platformer, Rayman origins beats both in this regard. Maybe they should make a Rachet and Clank 2D platformer. Or better yet someone who is already 2D and has an appearance in a game soon, Parrappa the Rapper!

New super mario bros is platforming at its purest form. No bullshit gaming. pure and fun- its all about the gameplay.
Little big planet has stronger focus on customization and community. As a platformer a much weaker than mario. But has better value with all the user generated content.
Personally, i'll go with NSMB, its just so much with a couple friends.



Bet with ninjablade:

Ninjablade wins if the next 5 multiplat on the wii u are inferior to the 360 version.

I win if one of the 5 mulitplats are on par or superior on the Wii U.

Clearly Super Mario Bros. is better because that's what the GAMERS says, not any bribed/biased reviewer.
