Forums - Gaming Discussion - I am liking FFXIII-2 way too much.

Exactly my thoughts about this game.
To my surprise they actually made it more enjoyable. Although I was off the bandwagon before 13-2, I'm back on again to see 13-3. If they keep improving, 13-3 is gonna be a worthy FF.

Which ending did you see? There are multiple.

Anyway, for me XIII-2 was an OK game. Some things improved from XIII, some things didn't.
I AM NOT BUYING LIGHTNING RETURNS. I've had enough of these characters and this 'universe" of Final Fantasy.

Give me Versus XIII. Now.

I was actually watching an IGN video and they showed one of the endings , without even giving a spoiler alert =/

Monsters in your party? Reminds me of Pokemon/Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrals from the sounds of that. Might like it who knows, enjoyed the first game as what it was: a RPG.

First game got a 8.8/10 from me. Predicting the 2nd one will get at least 8.5.

its kind of like Pokemon yeah, you play as two members and you "Catch" monsters to join your party and you can upgrade them and fuse them together like in Persona games.

@OP

I think you have this false assumption that people stopped caring about FF because of XIII. XIII was simply the last straw for many.

Which means they stopped caring right?

It's more like Tales of Symphonia 2. It's a sequel to a great RPG with many characters, but this time around you only play with a new girl + boy. You catch monsters so they can battle with you, and you see the old characters along the way but they never permanently join the party. You could also upgrade your monsters.

I still regret the 6 euro I got it for in tesco.

I liked 13-2, but I also liked 13. I'm struggling to get through AC3, it is very pretty and hunting is fun, but compared to the settings and gameplay of AC2 and ACB and RDR, it feels pointless and redundant. (and why does it look like everybody in AC3 is wearing lip gloss and those annoying eyeball reflections, pretty sure the low light levels of candlelight and the fact that chapstick hadn't yet been discovered might have been something one of the games directors might have identified as incongruous with the time period, regardless of the multicultural and various belief system team that created it. Who said we need lip gloss and shiny eyeballs in colonial Massachusetts!? I want to have a fist fight with this persons or persons)

I was instantly turned off when I played it at PAX Prime 2011, and only because of one reason, fucking QTEs.
