I remember the first time I played the original I was blown away.

That was a long time ago and Im not sure how well its aged but I would say play it. Ive been thinking about picking up the collection as I never played 2 or 3

Only played the first one its pretty good, even though I can't get passed one of the bosses so I stopped playing it. Definitely better then a lot of other games I only played halfway through.

10 minutes is plenty of time.  Especially when I instantly know it sucks because it's made by those bastards at Sony...

Seriously though, I got Jak 1 and Kingdom Hearts with my PS2.  I played Jak for about 10 minutes, then went on the KH intending to go back to it later.  Eventually, I forgot I had it.  I think it's still around here... somewhere... Been meaning to get back to it...

Platinumed Jak 1 earlier, I liked it. I would say 8/10.

However Jak 2 so far (couples hours of playing) i'm not really enjoying it. The car based gameplay they added is not hard (why are people saying this game is hard?). It's just tedious and annoying. It's not a bad game though.

Seems Jak and Daxter pulled a Sly Cooper on me. Loved the first one, hated the second, and found the third to be decent but not as bad as the 2nd.

For the first one it says 0:00 99% complete, But somewhere around 15 hours I think.

The hover car parts are the easy bits, I had the most trouble with the turret sections and some of the on foot escape scenes. Once you get the hang of the hover cars it's pretty fun to race around the city.

Some of the later missions are balanced horribly.
