Wasn't it gonna be an ID and a code? I thought that was better cuz your code would be unique and you could have any ID you wanted, i.e. no need to add random numbers/letters at the end of your name.

I pretty sure you get your alphanumeric code and a nickname (which can be anything)

I guess I'll have to see for myself when I get the console.

"“Our plan is replace Friend Codes with a much more user-friendly Account ID system, which employs user-created account names.”"

Innovation at its finest. Nintendo always ahead of the competition.

They can't do anything right, can they?

Only took 'em 29 years.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

They were a thing of the past on the Wii as well...

Uh oh... I better reserve SethNintendo before any other Seth gets the idea. Now, I definitely need to come up with the cash before launch. Time to start man whoring myself out.

Now I'm worried about this too x_x

And what if I wanned to change my name somewhere down the line? D:

I'm thinking of getting my Wii U earlier than I originally planned just to reserve the name I want.

Holyshit I think you just nailed their strategy for appealing to early adopters and hahdcoah gamers.

This system doesn't work well for Starcraft 2.
