Forums - Gaming Discussion - Capcom responds to Resident Evil 6 on-disc DLC revelation

There is no difference between on disc DLC and day one DLC. If you really think just because it is on the disc you have a right to play it, wow...

One isn't better than the other. They're both intended to rip off the customer. If you have a finished product and remove or lock pieces of it in order to sell it later is a shitty way to do business.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

I like how some people are mad over this, but there probably the one's that run to the store and buy everything capcom. Don't like, don't buy any of there games. that simple.

It's capcom. We should expect this by now.

4 ≈ One

"While Capcom is sorry that some of its fans are not happy about the chosen method of delivery for the DLC, we believe that this method gives more money."

That's what he meant. =)

We need moar Zelda, now!

We need moar Unchartedzz!

We need less DLCs.

I'd stump for a class-action lawsuit over this. Seriously. Who are they to deny us part of the product we have paid for?

Bingo.

Most class actions  are frivolous garbage designed to enrich lawyers, but this is one lawyer-enriching class action I could go in for...

If it's on the disc, then it is a product you bought from them, and it is yours.

No you bought a license and clearly do not own the actual game, just rights to play it. Unless the on disc DLC is advertised as being included with your purchase you have no justification to clame ownership of it.

Sadly, this is true in the legal sense. But it's morally questionable to say the least.

Capcom is the king of showing us why DLC is a bad thing. Sadly Nintendo is even starting DLC. DLC is just an easy way for the developers to leave a little extra out of the game and then charge for it later. This has easily reassured me that I will never purchase DLC for any game. DLC is like free to play gaming to me (both a plague).

We have 4 campaigns already; so even though I think it is a bad policy to do Disk locked content, I don't give a crap the fact that a new difficulty is locked. The costumes are unlockable, so no big deal really.

I think that Capcom is actually learning from their mistakes.
