It's the biggest shopping day of the year.  That's when stores offer free $100 gift cards with consoles, heavily discounted software, low priced TVs, etc.  People get loans, max out their credit cards, and camp out at stores just to go shopping on Black Friday.   I don't think it will be as big as last year but the 360 should dominate that day.  The Wii U would but I don't think Nintendo will be able to produce enough to meet the demand.  People are going to be fighting in the streets for a Wii U.

  • X360:   750k
  • PS3:   500k
  • 3DS:  1,000k
  • PSVita:   90k
  • DS:   200k

Yes, PSV is gonna do this bad. 3DS will dominate, the PSV has no real presence while the 3DS is the 'perfect' holiday gift. WiiU will have a good first week, but the 360 will just come out on top because of the Halo 4/Black Ops 2 combo. Wii will do nice for it's age especially since it's always done well in the holidays, WiiU won't cannibalize it's sales because it's in a different market now. DS and PSP will muddle along, while the PS3's lack of a solid holiday line-up will be compensated by the new Slim edition of the console, but's it's not enough.
 
And yes, there's going to be an unprecedented surge on GameCubes, 100m sold, just like that...
 
Disclaimer: This is all nicely wrapped geusswork. The GameCube part was a joke, the rest is serious.

I'm sorry but that's just stupid. Good savings, but people get into debt anyway, just for stuff they don't really need and probably already have!

We're on the same page with this one.  Two years ago, my GF had us get up at 3am and go from store to store, chasing bargains.  Last year, I said "Hell NO!" and I stayed home while she left home at 11pm and didn't come back until 10am the next day.  We don't go into debt or anything but A LOT of people do.  It's like an event and people just love being out there in the thick of it.

Wow, she spent 11 hours shopping!!! That's just crazy! I bet most of the stuff, she bought probably has been forgotten about or unused. It's like for one day a year, you are expected to just impulse buy stuff.

Please don't tell me you think Nintendo is going to have a black friday deal on a console that is 1 week old... That is absurd even to hypothesize about... Might as well predict 3ds sales if nintendo decides to give them out as happy meal toys while your at it.

Anyway 

360-850k(Or alternatively 1mil+ if they have a 360 sku for $99 which I think is unlikely though possible)

PS3-350k(The super slim just doesn't seem like a great deal. Alternatively 600k+ if sony manages to sell a ps3 sku for $99 on black friday. Damn well near impossible.)

Wii U-500k (Could be a lot more or a lot less depending on supply constraints)

Wii-350k(The wii will sell well on blackfriday considering it will probably be the only sub $100 console again, possibly sub $75?)

Just a hunch but I suspect you may see some fairly good deals on 3DS for Black Friday.

Wii U is going to be sold out obviously.
