Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Who wants a sequel to Madworld?

i would like to see more of the "motherfucking" Black Baron, one of the coolest game characters around.

No they've made far better games and all of them should get a sequel before Madworld does.

I would LOVE a sequel.

Fun times in B&W.

At 700k was Madworld considered a success? It's not bad, but idk if it's a success.
Also, who owns the IP? Sega or PG? If it's Sega their is no way in hell that they would give the green light to a sequel. If it's PG, then I guess they would need a new publisher, they would probably ask Nintendo, if they refuse PG would probably just give up on the idea.

Personaly, I'm all up for it, aslong as they learned from the first Madworld's mystake. A Madworld 2 with a longer story, more replay value and more diversity could be a great addition to the Wii U.

MadWorld's price fell very quickly, which helped spur sales to 700K. However, I doubt it was profitable, much less sucessful.

"doubt it was profitable"

pretty sure about 2 things
1. its undertracked
2. its been profitable

the game is cheap, its not a high budget development by any means, the first 200k copies sold at full price already made it profitable

Perhaps you're right, considering how little SEGA spent on marketing. They did play it smart and treated MadWorld like a niche title...

Anyway, I'm convinced that MadWorld deserves another chance though either a sequel or an HD rerelease, but I'm quite not sure if a publisher would bother.

I bought it for 10 bucks out of respect for the dev. I already had the game on my hdd back in the time. Never used my original disc. Remains brand new.

Same case for Okami.

Would I play a squeal to Madworld? Yes.

No way would it be anywhere near the top of my list to buy though. I wait to buy my games, so I got it for around $10. Totally worth it at that price.

I would rather see a new Vanquish on the Wii U. I didn't get to play the first.

Got fairly far in the game, but the combat was too boring. I wouldn't be much of a fan of a sequel.
