I bought it so I'd have a game i could play on my Laptop that i bring to work... It's all kinds of fun so far... kinda reminds me of the B52 bomber non video game way back in the day.

Had my first ship the JNS Playstation crewed by Kratos, Snake and Nathan (The navigator obviously).

Only got a high score of 592...

Lost Kratos in the first sector due to a plague in helping containment, then went pretty smoothly until the thrid sector, where I destroyed a civilian ship that attacked because it caught space madness.

However, they caused a fire in the rear of my ship which killed snake before he could put it out... fire took out my engines AND my Oxygen.  Opened up the doors to put out the fires, but Nathan couldn't fix the Oxygen in time to save himself.

looks interesting but I have to many big games to play at the moment and a few smaller ones to catch up on so I guess I will add it to the watch list for the xmas sale.

I have endlessly played this for a few days now. I can't seem to unlock other ships, somehow I got the engi cruiser though. I finally made it to the end but the second phase of the last boss overwhelmed me.

FTL : Faster Than Light.

I've picked this up on sunday and I'm hooked. Excellent game. Easy to pick up, addictive, with a surprising depth of gameplay. However, still a bit reliable on luck...

FTL is pretty awesome. just shows indie games are worth looking at.
I find it best to kill enemy weapons first, then either shields or piloting.

sounds like you didn't get far, wait until you get to the boss... i don't think you will win tbh, i only did once and it was a lucky run.

Made my first encounter against the boss, can't destroy it. I had a rather lucky run, with lots of guns looted and such.

Yeah, haven't met the boss yet.  Got far enough to get the engi ship in later games but that's it so far.
