Yeah, engi are great for repairs, but I found the ion cannon pretty lame tbh. At least, you don't have to pay for the drone upgrade.

hhaha, just went out of fuel, that's funny, you have to wait till something happens and get some fuel. But the rebel fleet got me first...

No if, like me, you run out of fuel, and you are forced to push 'wait' till something happens. Then, it's turn based till Rebel Fleet finds you

It really gets across just how deadly a  job that was in the war

The charts and stuff can be a pain, but i once got a hold of a computerised version someone made.

Sadly lost it when my harddrive failed.

If you are using the engi cruiser. Try to get a simple Ion Cannon I. Sure it fires every 8 seconds instead of 4, but it only takes 1 extra powergrid, and let me tell you, with it you can keep weapons and shields turned off almost always.

Haha ! Got to the first part of the boss fight, but got pwnd afterwards in the 2nd part... T_T I'll get in one day !!!!

Another one : Teleport some guys in a ship that is about to leave is a very bad idea. My two poor guys have been warped out and used for... I don't know what happened to them... Too bad, these brawlers may give me the edge in the boss fight 2nd part... :facepalm:

Man, B-17 Bomber (well, the mangled version of that on Intellivoice at any rate) was, well, the bomb back in the day, sigh.

I'm having some fun with it. Still trying to beat Easy mode...
I really hate some of the randomness though. You need a lot of luck to survive long enough to reach the end, and there's a lot of trial and error involved. Just got blasted to pieces by the boss' second stage. Apparently my setup was completely useless so all I could do was reset (rage-quit ) the stupid game. On another run the game came up with the brilliant idea of killing one of my three crew members before sending in four enemies. No other choice but to reset (rage-quit) again...
Apart from that it's a fun and addicting game, but be aware that it's very good at getting on your nerves.
