How hard someone wants try to convince me wrong..not having an achievement system is simply something negative.
but honestly it is not that big of a deal, I managed to enjoy some Wii games without achievements =p.
Allowing developers to have more control over their own games, rather than forcing them into a lazy cookie-cutter "reward" system? Terrible idea, Nintendo! What are you thinking?! Don't you know achievements are the only raison to play games??

Right now, trophies are mandatory for PS3 games (http://www.gamespot.com/news/ps3-trophies-mandatory-in-2009-6201444) so I guess the answer to your question would be Sony.
