Its probably a good system, I owned one but sold it back though. Wait until the games you like come out for it.

The games I like are Mario games, so only 3DLand and NSMB2 really.

its a good system ive got mario 3d land and nsmb2 but you dont see much on the shelfs, id advise getting one but id deffo prefer the vita if it was cheaper

I'm anti Nintendo, but Nintendo handhelds are always worth owning. Since you don't have a DS already, then the 3DS is a great console to own because while the 3DS doesn't have many good games, the DS has a ton of great games.

Mind pointing the biggest out? I'm not interested in most JRPGs, mind you, and I don't remember anything really drawing my eye on the DS except maybe Mario and Pokemon.

if you dont like JRPGS, then i would pass on DS since the system is lousy with em. i cant think of any other genre that has more games except for those touch casual fares(like cooking mama) but if you game on your Ipad/phone WE then you would have no need for those anyway

Shouldn't it be the other way around? 3DS is cheaper and has the bigger/better library now, so get that now and wait until Vita drops in price and its library has grown.

Vita needs the support more.

If the Vita doesn't get support, its games will be ported to the PS3, a platform pezus already owns. Not buying a Vita is win-win for pezus.

Your a great troll. I loled. =p

Playstation All-Stars is one of the best games I've played this gen, and is the most fun I've had in a game this gen.

Oh I thought this was one of those "I can purchase a NA PSVita whenever I want to" moment, if its one of the once in a lifetime (or similar) moments, might as well get it. I mean they must be ripping you guys off at Snowland D:

PSVita = 249.99
Game = 29.99 - 39.99 (unless you get UCGA which is 49.99 I think)
32 GB Memory card = 89.99 (in some places)  - $99.99

And you say you pay for that much just for the Vita itself ? Crazy.

Also dont get the 3G version, honestly dont see it being worth it, get the WiFi version.

Indubitably to this whole post. Amazon are selling the memory card for $71! Must be some similar deals elsewhere. I would buy almost everything digitally through the US/UK store if I decided to get a Vita. It's just that much cheaper.

If it's not to much trouble, ask you sister to check the airport electronic shops. I got a 32GB memory card for $10 off the normal price at the airport around 6 months ago, going from Canada to the States.

of course, I'm a Sony fan as well and I have a 3DS

I'm sure most of you know who I am by now, but in case you don't, you should know that I am what you might call a Sony "fanboy". Now, I actually like many Nintendo games (I know, surprising!), but Sony+PC has always been more than enough for me. I recently got into iPod Touch gaming, but that isn't doing it for me for extended periods of time.

I got the PSP near its launch, and ultimately got burned. I only bought around 5 games for it, and didn't even finish them all. The Vita situation isn't looking very good at the moment, although there are quite a few games there I'd like to play some day. BUT, I tell you, there's something about Mario that makes everyone go spinning.

My sister is going to America (Orlando) in just two weeks and we all know how cheap everything is in America! So, my question to you, dear readers, is this: Should I tell her to buy a 3DS for me? Or should I tell her to buy a Vita perhaps? Or maybe nothing at all?

To help you make a decision, here's what I like from Nintendo (handhelds):

Mario
Pokémon (but I only played the oldest games...meh)

Here's what I currently game on:

PC
PS3
iPod Touch

I don't lack games, mind you, but I feel like when someone you know is going to America you have to ask them to buy something "expensive" for you (to save money!).

Go with a vita. One, the games are better suited to your taste. Two, it's a good tablet with a good web browser and all the apps you could need for now. With PSmoble coming out soon there will be even more. Take it from me, I've owed a 3Ds and I played maybe 15 hours on the thing before i sold it, and yes I had Mario land 3d and it bored me to tears. It's way too easy. If you played other Mario games there's nothing new in this one to keep you interested. The future of the PSvita will be fine. Plus all the games are about to start dropping, so you'll have one just in time!

Well on 3DS, you have games like New Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario 3D Land, Ocarina of Time, and while it's a DS game you can still get Pokemon Black/White 2. On Vita though, there is many games accustomed to your Sony needs, Uncharted, Resistance, Assassin's Creed, LittleBigPlanet, and even new franchises like Tearaway.

You should buy a 3ds and this is why:

1) Resident evil revelations
2) Super Mario 3d Land
3) Ocarina of Time
4) Mario kart 7
5) Kid Icarus Uprising
6) Paper Mario: Sticker Star
7) Luigi´s Mansion
8) New super mario bros. 2
9) Zero´s Escape virtue´s last reward
10) Layton´s games
11) Fire Emblem kakusei

What is this (bold)? Never heard of it. I really don't care about RE though.

Its the same type of game of 999, and made by the same creators. 999 is a ds game, its a text game, you should read the reviews, the ign one is a good one. The game is one of those cases of "amazing game not known by people".

Congratulations you are the first person online to accept being a fanboy BUT... Hate to tell you this you are just a regular joe who just prefers sony, a fanboy would never consider a next brand lol. But foreal if you dont have already, im telling you ps Vita is WAY better then people make it seem. Especially if you have a ps3. You can put more on vita with ps3, remote play, crossbuy on stuff like sound shapes and ratchet as well as ps allstars. And the ability of the system itself is amazing. I was on party chat, 8 people, playing different games, i was playing Crimson Gem Saga, my friend playing FFVII, the rest were all together playing UMvC3 and i was on twitter same time and we all went on youtube same time and syncd out videos watching new trailers and showing stuff like the ff next gen tech demo. I also was playing music while taking pics and sending everyone in the party as well as all kinds of other things at the same time without system laging or being interrupted. You can play ANYthing and be in party chat. 3DS i guess get if your not into online or dont care for trophies because 3ds does have more at the moment. But i have both and ill say 3ds doesnt get much playtime and the friends list and messaging system in it is almost useless since you cant message while in a game. But it has a notes system you can use for notes in game like if you need to remember a code in game. But you can screenshot and save msgs and so on vita as well and you have fb, better netflix, twitter, youtube, skype and so on and getting crunchyroll and crackle so as well as some sony apps like teasure park and free tom blitz puzzle game and so on. BUT nothing bad bout 3ds, if you can wait, get the lbp vita on the 25th, for 250 you get lbp vita a mem card and vita which is normal vita price and overall paying 190 for vita technically. But if you want now 3ds will save you alot of money as long as your not trying to get the xl. I dont accept the xl, seeing 3ds is pretty pixelated after getting use to vita, imagine xl. Since its upscaled. But thats just me :) have fun which ever you get. I support nintendo and sony :)
