I'm sure most of you know who I am by now, but in case you don't, you should know that I am what you might call a Sony "fanboy". Now, I actually like many Nintendo games (I know, surprising!), but Sony+PC has always been more than enough for me. I recently got into iPod Touch gaming, but that isn't doing it for me for extended periods of time.

I got the PSP near its launch, and ultimately got burned. I only bought around 5 games for it, and didn't even finish them all. The Vita situation isn't looking very good at the moment, although there are quite a few games there I'd like to play some day. BUT, I tell you, there's something about Mario that makes everyone go spinning.

My sister is going to America (Orlando) in just two weeks and we all know how cheap everything is in America! So, my question to you, dear readers, is this: Should I tell her to buy a 3DS for me? Or should I tell her to buy a Vita perhaps? Or maybe nothing at all?

To help you make a decision, here's what I like from Nintendo (handhelds):

Mario
Pokémon (but I only played the oldest games...meh)

Here's what I currently game on:

PC
PS3
iPod Touch

I don't lack games, mind you, but I feel like when someone you know is going to America you have to ask them to buy something "expensive" for you (to save money!).

Go with a vita. One, the games are better suited to your taste. Two, it's a good tablet with a good web browser and all the apps you could need for now. With PSmoble coming out soon there will be even more. Take it from me, I've owed a 3Ds and I played maybe 15 hours on the thing before i sold it, and yes I had Mario land 3d and it bored me to tears. It's way too easy. If you played other Mario games there's nothing new in this one to keep you interested. The future of the PSvita will be fine. Plus all the games are about to start dropping, so you'll have one just in time!
