Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Gamestop managers conf: PDP accessories prove WiiU launch Nov 18th.

With that, its pretty much guranteed that WiiU's launch is also November 18th. Expect to hear that on September 13th's Nintendo conference.

11th is what I was hoping for as the 12th is my bday, but 18th is just as logical and it all is in sync with Gamecube and Wii launches.

Of course this is NA date only. Japan and EU will likely be just before and/or after.

Sorry for the question but... what does "PDP accessories" mean?

Oh, and a link would be nice.

PDP is a company that makes accessories, stuff like 3rd party controllers and cases for handhelds.  Saw some of their stuff at E3 this year.

Simple conclusion is that you don't start releasing controllers for a console before its launch.

...

Predictable.

No, but people on GAF are and that's the source as well. :)

Thread on GAF about this conference has a few members there and they stated this was just confirmed. Logical conclusion is that is the same date as WiiU's launch.

Now you know when you can buy this.

You say tomato, I say tomato

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

Wonder if someone will be cleaver and checky enough to create a 'gamepad' controller for Wii (presumably with included game). I realize Wii doesn't have the processing power to run a true gamepad, but a pdp developer could convincably create a Wii gamepad that allows offscreen play (same image possibly transmitted via usb dongle) and capitalize on consumer confusion by calling it a 'U gamepad' for Wii or such.

...

Actually, I'd buy that. lol.

Thanks.

@BenVTrigger: I think that's the most unintentional confirmation I've seen in a long time.
