The 600 emails thing made me think it wasn't true. In 3 days? That's a hell of a lot of emails.

Now, something creepy i heard out of 2chan while i was in Japan involved a stalking conspiracy about keeping track of girls' movements around the city of Tokyo, which employees of JR East Rail company and the PASMO Alliance would spot a hot girl going through the turnstyles to get on the trains, they would record the number of her SUICA/PASMO card (train pass card for the Tokyo metro area), and then coordinate on where that card was used again, to isolate where she lived and where she worked.

Well, the average American teenager sends something like 3,000 texts a month. And the Japanese do tend to take everything to the EXTREEEEEME (/takfujii).

But there's other stuff that makes it seem more and more dodgy as it goes.
