If rumors are true it's looking like the PS4 could be the least technical machine for next gen. Looking at the specs and rumors of the X720 and WiiU they may be at a higher price.

Could Sony be shooting for there usual $299 price point (minus PS3 start off price) with the PS4? If so what could that mean if the other two consoles were more expensive?

I find that unlikely, though if it were true I would think Sony would lose even more market share to Microsoft, at least in the US. I say this because at this price point Sony would need to cater to the casual audience, and we all know how terrible Sony is at marketing anything to anyone (Looks at vast majority of first party titles and the Move).

The only way that would be possible is if the PS3 is, in fact, the PS4.

a PlayStation is unstoppable as the cheapest console but i REALLY DONT WANT a $300 PS4 at launch

the cheapest should be $400 and the absolute highest should be $500

$400 is the magical number though. $400 for the regular PS4 and $500 for the higher end PS4
