So now that you can dl xbox 1 games from xboxlive.. I found myself tempted to get fable, I never played the original. How does it hold up to say oblivion?

I found it dull actually.

The reason why it was so "Omg this game rawks"

Is because depending on your actions made you good/evil(and you had a halo if you were good and horns and a halo of flies if you were bad). "You can do anything you want when you want" I remember people saying about it.

But it wasnt that good of a game. Seeing your charater change was cool though.

Well, Fable in itself is a great game. My only complaint is it rather short. The good story and fun combat help make up for the 10-15 hour length.

It's worth a buy.

PS. Are you gonna say anything about your harrasing me over my CoD4 prediction on PS3 and the fact it far surpassed that.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

If you end up liking, it don't forget Fable 2 is coming to the 360 later this year!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

I liked Fable...my favorite game on xbox...my biggest complaint is that it's short as hell...especially for an action rpg.

Well, I now only have access to a PS3 & 360...Plan on buying a wii soon (lol, if I can ever find one available!) but will probably wait until some of the major RPG's come out like Dragon Quest & Tales, etc.

Anyhow, I'm so far behind in games to play that I'm not in a huge hurry (lol, haven't even gotten a chance to finish God of War II yet!)

Fable was an awesome game. It had a great world with varied and epic quests, tons of side stuff, good graphics and a great sense of humor. My only complaint was that the world was broken up into small sections, so you'll experience the loading screen far too often.

But you really owe it to yourself to play the game. It really is a no brainer. One of the box's best titles.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Even if it's quite short, you can go back and still have fun with it for a lot more hours. Try to find all the extras etc.

IMHO the Xbox has (at least, I haven't played all of the games...yet) three killer apps: Fable, Top Spin and Morrowind (if you don't have it on PC).

Wrong. It has two killer apps. Fable and Knights of the old Republic. Fortunately though, those two apps kick a lot of ass.

Fable is fantastic! The sole reason i bought an Xbox back then, after i finished it i sold the Xbox though. Get it now!

KOTOR was OK, but I guess it just not for me. Just like I can see why most people like Halo but to me it's just a sleeping pill.

But OT: get Fable!
