WayForward are usually known for their expertise at developing games that use 2D artwork, but with Double Dragon: Neon, they’re stepping out into 3D.

WayForward Developing Double Dragon: Neon For XBLA And PSN

IGN report that Double Dragon: Neon is an ‘80s style reboot of the Double Dragon series, slated for release on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this July. You’ll play as Jimmy and Billy Lee again, and fight a villain named Skullmageddon.

The “Neon” in the game’s title refers to the game’s setting and emphasis on neon lights and bright colours. Double Dragon: Neon, like previous Double Dragon games, will let you fight using your fists and legs, as well as with weapons that you pick up along the way. You can find more screenshots of the game over at the IGN link above.

1 and 3 are my favorite they get stuck in my head long after i play the game sometimes i even use missions 1s for work out

i'll raise your 3 to the last and sometimes cheap/brutal mission 6

I think Mission 4 has arguably the best theme. Now dig this cover!

Nobody will buy it.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
