B.E.L.I.E.V.E.

what?

Are you telling me you remember the chalkboard but not that famous phrase?

I remember a bunch of sheep that put that in their sigs.  Good thing I finally wised up and disabled sigs considering almost every person's sig on this site is annoying.

You clearly haven't seen mine because...

It's the most annoying....

;)

You know it!

Ooppss...

A dedication that wavers depending on the tide it seems.

You would have a point, if kowenicki didn't post year over year numbers in weekly sales threads regardless of what they show.

...so if we were to adjust sales for comparable time on the market, which console has sold more? I have been wondering this for a while. seems odd that I havent scene this on the forums before. any info would be great.

its boring (been discussed a bazillion times)

irrelevant (an install base is an install base)

and bloody easy to work out.....

so why start a thread to ask?

oh good god... again!?

and i counter that with since the PS3 has been out the 360 has sold more... so since the choice has been available to buy either... people have chosen the 360 more than the PS3.

both stats are red herrings however.

only LTD counts..

now everyone move along nothing to see here.

he is trying to see the ps3 is selling at a much faster rate than the 360 did in its 2-3rd year.

yeah and Im saying that more people have chosen the 360 over the PS3 when both have been available.... therefore the 360 is more poular..

the 360 was also up against a very strong and very cheap PS2 when it launched.  you cant compare like this.

cant you see these are bollocks stats...

only ltd counts.

What's your point in all this exactly?

Hmm, I already wrote it, so I'm not going to condescend to you by repeating something you could've/should've/would've read by now.

Vita needs a lot of help. I was hoping more of my friends and family will get into the Vita so we can play some co-op games but guess I'm playing alone. Cancel my copy of Unit 13 because can't get anyone else to play with.

Konami has always been faithful to Sony, a PSV exclusive PSV is a given, but it won't help sales much...

I guess with MH4 as a 3DS exclusive, is PSV's life set in stone? Is it a dead system?

Maybe for PS4, Sony won't go graphical whoring...their best consoles had the worse graphics of the gen, and focused on games.

The PSV isn't a dead system yet, but it requires drastic measures to get it back on track. The questions are what will Sony do and when will they do it. They certainly can't sit idle and do nothing, if the PSV is supposed to have a life of five to eight years.

I think Sony is willing to pay even more than Nintendo for this game. MH is no longer an investment for Sony, it's a strategical decision. They should pay what they can to have it, no matter how much money will be lost. Even Nintendo can't cover the price a desperate company is willing to pay for something it needs.

I assume the MH4 deal prevents Capcom from announcing any MH game for the Vita until a certain date. In this case Sony wouldn't only have to pay for Monster Hunter, but also for the costs that fall on Capcom for breaching their contract with Nintendo.

Maybe E3 Sony will announce a pileup of games. If they want to do well, I imagine they would, after all the last PSP game they released was God of War in 2010, and then 1 good launch title for PSV.

Uncharted GA, MotorStorm RC, MLB 12 the show Hot shots golf, Super Stardust delta, Wipeout 2048, ?

even to a lesser extent Unit 13, Hustle Kings, and Escape Plan.

all these games have gotten good reviews

So your point is that the Vita is doing great because its worldwide sales so far are equal to the sales the PSP achieved in only one region over the same time period?

The PS brand was at its peak when PSP launched, that definitely helped with sales.

The initial numbers are going be lower for sure, but if Vita does things better than PSP from now on I think it's possible that it does better in the long run. TBH, even selling less HW but more SW/accessories would be better.

Sony already released about a dozen PSV games.

Anything....good? Little Deviants was the biggest disappointment IMO, Hot shots Golf is shovelware. Uncharted is the only good game on PSV, and Resistance coming out will be game #2.

Well, you made the point that Sony could announce a lot of first party games at E3 to boost PSV sales and I said they already released many. Now you say that almost all of them suck, so why again would a lot of E3 announcements help?

It always confuses me a little bit when people argue against their own points.

Okay, well I originally was applying that there weren't many large exclusives for the PSV. Shovelware doesn't push console sales, just satisfies early adopters. I guess I wasn't clear enough, not arguing against my own point.

PSV needs a few good exclusives games to boost sales. A new IP or something catered towards the European/Japanese audience would be nice (A GT or JRPG).
