Ah, I saw the neogaf links, but I assumed the #'s were related to our forum thread IDs.

I really hope Zelda-themed Legos get released, followed by a Lego Legend of Zelda game. That would be surreal on the level of Street Fighter: the Movie: the Game.

That would be the best of all the lego games Doninja!

Pachter Says Wii U Late October Launch “Makes Sense”

Famed industry analyst Michael Pachter firmly believes that Nintendo will launch the Wii U in October. Pachter made the comments during the latest episode of Pach Attack, during which he was asked why Nintendo hasn’t revealed the Wii U technical specifications.

“There’s a couple of reasons, I think. For one, they’re probably not certain exactly what their final specs are going to be. When I say that, they have the CPU and GPU down absolutely as developers are making games for it.

“I think they’re just waiting to see what the commodity prices are like, and what the assembly is going to cost them. They kind of have to go final at least three to four months before the thing launches, so I think you’ll hear specs around E3 and I think you should look for around a late October launch. That makes sense.”

“The answer is nobody has any clue, including Ubisoft,” Pachter later expanded, responding to whether the console would release prior to Assassin’s Creed III.”

“The game will come out on October 30th, and it’ll come out on Wii U if it’s out by then. If there’s not a Wii U by then, guess what, it’ll be held until it launches.

“I think it’s likely that Nintendo is shooting for around that date on Wii U. Historically, we haven’t really gotten console launches in the US and Europe past about November 15th, so October 30th sounds totally reasonable to me. But, I don’t think anyone has any clue. Nintendo does what Nintendo decides to do.”

Chrome Triforce Emblem JesseMay 5th, 2012 by Jesse

Have you ever wanted a nice shiny Legend of Zelda Triforce emblem on your car? Well, so do a lot of other people which is why this Kickstarter project was started.

The project was devised to make the Triforce emblem a reality. The goal is to reach $10,000 within the next 27 days. Only a few people have backed the project at the moment, but over time we hope to help this noble cause reach it’s goal. Be sure to make the jump and check out all the info on the project.

Background:

The idea came to be a few weeks ago when I wanted to buy a decal or emblem for my car. I thought about it, and decided I wanted a triforce emblem. I saw plenty of stickers online, but I really didn’t want to put a sticker on my car, I wanted something shiny. I found superman emblems, batman emblems, and even transformer emblems, but not a single triforce!

I decided to take matters into my own hands to find out how to get one made. Turns out to be a pricey process for a good quality emblem. There are some cheap quality ones for $100 custom made, but instead I took the high road. I found out where to get professional chrome plated emblems made! The only problem is that I needed a pretty large minimum order and a substantial upfront tool cost.

It then hit me! How could I get this large order put together? Simple! Kickstarter! I took into account shipping costs, initialization costs, fees from Kickstarter and Amazon, and figured out how much each emblem would cost, and how many I needed to sell in order to make this worth while. $10,000 is a nice round number that’s a little more than the total I need to pull this off.

I hope this project will be a success, then we can all enjoy the emblems. If the funding is successful, more emblem designs can become a reality using this process!

Product Details:

The emblem will be 3″ high and 3.46″ wide. It will have a triple chrome-plated metal finish with an ABS plastic core. The design will have a 3D embossing.

I would love to be able to place this emblem on my car. One on the front and one in the back. It seems like a great idea for all Zelda fans, but the hefty $10,000 pledge goal for the project to start development seems a little doubtful. I hope they do well and wish them the best of luck with their goal. What are your thoughts on it? Do you think the pledge goal is a little high, or do you think it will be worth investing so much money into?

Majora’s Mask Wii U Would be Ultimate Fanservice
05. May 2012 by Nathanial Rumphol-Janc

Majora's Mask in Real LifeOperation Moonfall followers are well aware of the work that has been done so far to try and convince Nintendo that it’s worthwhile to remake Majora’s Mask, with the main focus being on a 3DS version to compliment Ocarina of Time 3D. What hasn’t been discussed is how amazing it would be if Nintendo one upped it and simply made it for the Wii U.

Outside of how well the mask system, time system, and save system would work in conjunction with the tablet controller, it’s more about about how the entire theme of the game just feels like it works better on the big screen. Obviously we here at Zelda Informer adore Majora’s Mask – we practically worship the ground it walks on. From giving one of its songs the number one spot on our best Zelda Music list, to the entire BEN fiasco.... we sure love to keep it in the family if you know what I mean.

However, just something about a Zelda game in which the entire world can be destroyed before your eyes just feels better on a HD console, no? It sure does to me, and I don’t care that it would take up a lot more resources to do so.

Back when Majora’s Mask came out, it was so different from Ocarina of Time it scared a lot of gamers away. The thing is, over time, it has become wildly considered one of the best games in the series. At a time when Nintendo wants to truly win back the “hardcore gamers”, a Majora’s Mask revival for them in full HD, even using some pseudo-similar version of the graphics we saw in the Wii U tech demo, would be extremely enticing.

Imagine the possibilities, especially if released as a $20 digital only download to help promote the new online system? It would be something I would gladly shell out 20$ for – hell I’d pay the full $60 in earnest. But it’s about attracting more gamers to your console. Is Majora’s Mask capable of that? I don’t know, but I’d like to think so. It’s definitely the dark tone sort of Zelda game non-Zelda gamers always say they want. It’s just too old, and too forgotten, to be given a chance.

Sure, this likely will never happen. I know this, you know this. It will be a 3DS title if anything at all, but a guy can dream can’t he? What do you think Nintendo could do to really make Majora’s Mask shine on the Wii U?

Beyond Good and Evil 2 in active development, not sure what platforms can run in
I've got good news and bad news about Beyond Good and Evil 2. Good news first...the game is being actively developed right now. The bad news...Ubisoft doesn't know when it will release or what platforms can handle it. They're simply creating the game they want and then they'll figure out what consoles it can run on.

I know that we've already heard Ancel say he wasn't sure Wii U could handle the game, but now that's looking even less likely.
