Hopefully not, it looks very generic

Retro should do more "japanese" games

I'm sorry but no. A million times no.

Nintendo doesn't make "Japanese games". They make games for all. And even when they make weird games that don't come here (like Tingle's adventure) they are made by Japanese studios.

Retro is their only western studio, and it should be allowed do what they do best, being it japanese or occidental games.

Besides, what is a Japanese game? Metriod Prime wasn't, and neither was Donkey Kong Country.

Please excuse my bad English.

sorry it's a personal concep.

But to me yes, I know they aren't japanese, they are based on japanese intelectual properties and in Nintendo way of making games - few cutscenes, no voice acting, colorful, non violent, etc...

@VicViper: Nintendo way to do games and Japanese way to do games aren't always the same. And you say the prime example: few cutscenes. Square-Enix, Capcom, Konami, etc. all of them love cutscenes unlike Nintendo. And personally the lack of cutscenes is something I prefer. It's a game after all.

The voice acting is something that affects more classic characters like Zelda/Link and Samus. And I suspect that it has more to do with preserving some of the original spirit than with oposition to voice acting.

Disaster: Day of Crisis for example has voice acting. And if Retro makes a new IP it will also have voice acting.

So what would Pokemon be considered as....?

Pokemon sells millions of games both in Japan and in the rest of the world. I would say that, even though I think it's a weird franchise, it's a game that appeals to all.

So, Kamen Rider will be for DS, PSP? I saw your title and was hoping it was going to be for Wii U or at least for 3DS. I was ready to say this solidifies my purchase for Wii U

I'm not talking about appeal, I'm talking about what do you consider Pokemon as in terms of what type of developed game, Japanese , European or American?

Oh, I see.

I don't think that developments are very different in Japan, Europe or America. It was Vic who said that Retro should do Japanese games.

I think that if Retro would revive Raven Blad, then the game would see poor sales. Who knows, how the game will look and play if it would have been made for Wii U. If Retro would create a new IP, then I would like them to do a game within the Beat em up genre.

Being that Nintendo has already created an Operating System that Google now uses, and being that investors has continually pestered them in taking a leap in mobile, Nintendo and Google can easily have a joint venture and create an 'affordable' smartphone. It's uncharacteristic of Nintendo, I know, but it would reach an audience they may not have as of yet, and extend their recognition.

Android games will come to Nintendo long before Nintendo games ever come to Android.

I actually knew this, but I thought I'd throw that out there. Stranger things have happened in this industry; it's even truer now with how the global economy is in gradual decline.
