Just no. You didn't even give a good reason why it's overrated besides it sells well(terrible reason btw). It really makes me question how much you have actually played of the series. If you give a good solid reason I'll let you pass, but the reason has to do with the actually game(s) themselves for example gameplay, not sales.    

  More OT: Imo there really isn't any franchise that is overrated besides COD games released after 4. Mainly because there was little change after that, shorter campaigns, and killstreaks became lame. Also COD Elite is a ripoff(Halo's had the same stuff for years for free).There are other game series themselves that I don't like, but I wouldn't call them overrated just not my cup of tea.

Should a game sell well just because tof the name? Anyways it's MY OPINION!!! you see other people agreeing with me that Halo is the most overrated so It's not like im the only one here. BTW I have played at least 5 - 10 Halo 3 online matches and i was so bored but I didn't want to hurt my cousins feelings so I kept it to myself. It seems that you clearly got mad because your use to halo getting positive feedback. I mean come on 11 titles with "Halo" on them? I know Final Fantasy has had a lot of titles also so you don't need to bring that up.

Seriously, not one bit of difference in that post of urs. I believe 360 could've had other games exploding into series instead of this.

Halo is definitely overrated and I believe Elder Scrolls series, especially oblivion is extremely overrated.

why not just put the full number instead of the "1s"?

 

and i'm conviced that some people dont know what they are talking about lol

going by what everybody is saying, i guess we can say that damn near EVERY game is overrated

but Halo is still the undisputed unanimous king of overrated series in the gaming world

i  guess it's debateable with call of duty though but i still give the crown to Halo

but halo 1 and 2  as well as halo wars were good

most over rated is mass effect, all 3 games are not worth the $$ therefore, bad games.

I understand it's your opinion, but come'on lol. If your going to say a series is overrated you should spend more than an hours and a half playing it. I can bet 95% of the folks in here that stated a game is overrated have atleast beat the campaign of atleast one game in the series or let alone gave the campaign/story a shot. I really just hope that folks in here genuinly feel a game is overrated and not just saying it because "It's the cool thing to do".

Saying you played 5-10 matches playing Halo 3 absolutely means nothing if that is the only experience playing a Halo game. Atleast tell me why you thought it was boring? Also did you ever think the reason the Halo brand sells well is because it's quality?   

I wont bug you anymore after this, but atleast the next time you say a game is overrated spend a good amount of time with it first before you make that claim. There are some games that I played 30 minutes at a buddies house didn't think much of it, but when I got a good chunk of time with it I became hooked.
