Ireland was never fully controlled by the Vikings. If you are reffering to the Normans, like the settled Vikings, they ended up being assimilated by the Irish through marriage, politics and war. Hard to stay part of an Empire you were never in to begin with.

Lets just say that Iran like every other country in the world has the right to protect themselves. In this case it is by making nuclear weapons just like the US, china, Britain, India, etc.

What, an all new cheaper form of energy from scratch? I think you're giving Iranian nuclear engineers and scientists a little too much credit.

Iran made their own nuclear fuel rods with the U-235 they've been enriching for the Russian built Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant that uses the same type of steam driven turbines used in virtually every nuclear power plant.

And that folks, was the big announcement. 

Doesn't mean that they woud do it as they know that at that moment whole Iran would be wiped out of the map. If North Korea and Pakistan can have nuclear arsenal and we know they won't use them I don't see how in the hell Iran would. How many wars Iran has started during last 200 years? None. Compare that to US and Israel... Doesn't seem exactly too aggressive nation. From words there is still a long way to actual action.

well...i guess since iran has repeatedly promised to annihilate israel and openly funds terrorists on its doorstep working towards its destruction, then i guess israel has the right to protect itself and annihilate iran.

i dont understand what your fixes are supposed to do.  it is openly funding hamas and hezbollah.  theyve admitted this and talked it up a lot.  they even promised last week to support anyone working against israel.

and then second one is just the logical conclusion of a train of thought for someone working so hard to kill you.  you kill them before they can kill you.  so i dont know why you would cross it out. 

and its really just directly against the position of the person i quoted...if iran has the right of nuclear arms for protection, then logically, israel has the right to completely destroy iran before it has the capability to carry through what they have promised to do and settle the matter once and for all.

If there is an agent of destruction in your enemy, it's the agent you annihilate, not the whole nation. Israel has a right to protect itself. Annihilate Iran, no. That would be as insane as those who vow to the annihilation of Israel. Both are mad. That's why I crossed it out, in terms of reason.

North Korea and Pakistan are very worrying. North Korea is perhaps nuts enough - and certainly it's always on the verge of collapsing which makes insanse power plays more likely - to use the bomb if they ever get it down to a managable size. That's why everybody is negotiating to try and stop them from doing it.

Pakistan is worrying not because of who the current government might use them but because extremists in the country are plausibly powerful enough to seize power, or at least nuclear facilities, and Al-Qaeda would be quite happy to use a nuke if they got one.

I'd personally be very, very happy with no nuclear weapons in the world. I'd be much happier even if only India, Israel, North Korea, Pakistan and Iran didn't have nukes.
